nice alarm, very loud
nice alarm, very loud. I bought cheap velcro strips @ hardware store to attach it to the underside of my motorcycle. I bought 2, one under the seat is very hard to hear, but under the seat is very loud. motion / sensitivity of bike / alarm is ok, not too sensitive, but if you shake the bike a little the alarm sounds off

Mentally, it is just a nice accessory to have.
This is a repeat purchase, replacing an older device. Nothing more soothing to ones mental peace of seeing the reaction of someone who walks up to my bike, innocently touch the bike and the alarm going off. Was able to install easily it in a place where it is not visible, but where it will be clearly heard. Can't quite remember where you parked your bike you simply hit the locater button, beep is not as loud as alarm, but it works. It's a deterrent, nothing else.

Great Customer Service
Update: The company reached out to me and sent me a replacement alarm. I have moved my review back up to 4 stars for excellent customer service. Update: Unfortunately, I have changed my review to 1 star. After only a couple months, the alarm has started glitching. Sometimes it locks and unlocks...sometimes it gets stuck locked. I had to ride my bike a mile with the alarm going off since the remote was stuck. If I take the remote cover off, it usually seems to reset and work, but obviously this isn't an everyday solution. I still like the idea of this alarm, but if I had to do it again I'd buy from another brand. Even for a cheap product, I expect it to work for more than 4 months. Original review was 5 stars and text below: I've only had this alarm two weeks and it's already prevented my bike from being stolen! I had it parked and locked briefly at a friend's house while I went inside to talk. A few minutes later, her neighbor knocked on the door to say he heard the alarm go off! He looked out his window to see the would-be thief sprinting away down the street! By the time I got outside they were long gone! This is a fantastic investment to prevent spontaneous bike theft. An angle grinder makes a lot more noise than an alarm. Still, after my experience tonight, I'd buy this again in a heartbeat!

Simple, foolproof, multifunctional and LOUD!
I was looking for an easy to add alarm to my E-bike. I didn't want a "do it all" solution (eg: taillight/horn/alarm) To me I like my systems discrete, safely apart from each other to mitigate complete failure. Anyway, The alarm is simple and easy to install in a hidden location. easy to use and pretty foolproof. To be honest you could use this alarm for so many uses other than a bike, you could add a loop to it to hang on a door knob and use it as a home/hotel/motel alarm. stick it under your dashboard of your vehicle as a quick and dirty car alarm. or even stick it on the inside door of your home safe. even as an alarm for a shed. I will definitely be purchasing a few more of these and utilizing in a few of these scenarios. well worth the money.

First impressions - good, not great
I just got this alarm. Some first impressions: ==== INSTRUCTIONS ==== A lot of reviewers have trouble with them. While they're grammatically a bit of a mess, you can get past this and all functions are addressed. Without very little trial and error, I was able to program the volume, sensitivity, and pair a second alarm to the same remote. ==== ADJUSTABLE VOLUME ==== This is a major reason I chose this KCMYTONER-branded version over others. 113 dB can be really loud, indoors especially. The three selectable levels are a good option and 'spaced' reasonably for choosing volume. HOWEVER, whichever volume you choose seems to affect all sounds, not just when the alarm is triggered. 'System sounds' when arming, disarming, and programming are at the same volume. Even the lowest volume level -- which is fairly tame for the alarm side of things -- is pretty loud for just pressing some keys on the remote. I've posted a question to see if there is anyway around this. If you're using this indoors, or If you want arming/disarming to be discrete, this is a concern. I don't want to be exposed to 113 dB every time I press a remote key. ==== PAIRING ADDITIONAL REMOTES ==== The programming steps are easy to either control one alarm from multiple remotes, or control multiple alarms from one remote. With the one remote / two alarms setup, it was easy to re-pair; once paired, you program two alarms at the same time and identically, which I liked. Downside: if you wanted to program the two (or more) alarms differently, you'd have to either move one out of range, or remove it's battery..... ==== REMOVING THE BATTERY ==== A big pain. There is no sliding battery cover, and it's not as simple as removing a screw, although there is one (and a screwdriver was included). After you remove the screw, you have to pry the housing of the alarm open, basically the way a repair technician might do when repairing a phone. Never done that kind of thing and don't have specialized plastic tools to do it? You're probably going to break something. Even if you don't, the stress this puts on the many little plastic clips that keep the housing snapped close is not good; over time they will break off. I wouldn't expect this thing to survive multiple battery changes, unless you're extremely, extremely careful. This makes it seem a bit disposable, which I'm not a fan of with any electronics, even when it's affordably priced. ==== VIBRATION SENSING ==== The jury is still out on this one and I'll update this review later. It is nice that the alarm has 2 levels of reacting: a short warning tone for the first 'hit,' and then a full alarm if a second hit comes within a few seconds. But, it seems that it takes more of a hit to trigger the warning, then to trigger the full alarm. Even with the highest sensitivity while testing, I had to disturb the alarm a couple of times in some cases before it 'warned,' and then barely touch it to trigger the full alarm. There also seems to be a built in delay of a few seconds between arming the alarm and having it react to the first movement (this could be by design). ==== CONCLUSION ==== Not a bad product, especially for the price, but I'll have to spend more time around it to decide if any of its shortcomings are deal breakers.

If this was any louder it would wake the dead
Arrived very quick well wrapped and just a cracker of a sound just what I wanted brilliant I think the tie wrap option is the favourite method of securing it to your bike. If you are struggling with the settings there are some good videos on YouTube would thoroughly recommend

Cordialement.
