It blew my mind many times
I had never heard or seen any work from this author before, but something caught my attention when I saw this book on pre-order and I'm so glad it did because the amount of useful detailed information backed with careful scientific research blew my mind on almost every page. I think it's safe to say that after finishing this book, my view on Biology (also physics) and overall health has changed significantly and served as a big healthy wake-up call.On a final note and in case it means something to you, this book reminded me to David Perlmutter books like Grain Brain and Brain Maker (which also blew my mind)

WRITTEN LIKE AN INCOMPREHENSIBLE BOASTFUL MEDICAL TERM PAPER
If you care to try, as an academic endeavor, to read a medical term paper designed as a book with 80% written in incomprehensible medical terms and obscure medical concepts that appear to be designed to boastfully make the medical professor aware of all the medical research the writer has performed, with perhaps only a handful of good health ideas, this is the book to read. If you care to read a few great books about nutrition in plain English which have real-life applications, read Dr. Michael Greger's "How Not to Die" and "How Not to Diet." I have read scores and scores of books on food, health, and nutrition, and Dr. Greger's books have benefited my life with plain and simple health and nutritional information that in so many ways can immediately be put to work improving your life and longevity. That being said, Sayer's information may be accurate if you have the tenacity to struggle through it all.

Excellent
This is a really well written and easy to read book. I've read a lot of books about health and healing and I think Ji's book provides complete coverage of everything that's important, proven and safe. If you just want one book on the subject of significantly improving your health get this one.

I'll be buying this book in case lots as soon as I figure out how to do that....
Off the charts and out of the box! This book will be given for birthday presents, Christmas presents, Baby Shower presents, "you're my good friend presents," and "here, you need this book" presents for years to come. I found my book on my porch (I did not get the Kindle version) early this morning and have already carefully read the first 80 pages. I have also given every chapter a quick look over, scanned the references and index, and much more. There is something amazing on every page. Sayer's website has transformed my life; I'm sure his book will as well. Now I must get back to my close reading, pencil in hand. NO ONE WILL REGRET BUYING THIS BOOK.

Nothing that I didn't already know
Besides promoting evolution the book is not worth the š° I paid for it. Highly dissatisfied with it.

Makes the Newest Science (Epigenetics, Nutrition, Cellular Communication) on Health Accessible
Wow, this is such an inspiring book. It is just the inspiration and motivation I needed to make some dietary changes and completely turns the current, outmoded medical models (which are no longer supported by the latest science) on their head. A must read. A little science-y at times but worth the time and focus required.

Quite disappointing
I find that the book didn't really teach me anything new but just presents what I already know in a very complicated and inaccessible way using very complex language. I gave up on it after about 50 pages because I got tired of constantly having to look words up in the dictionary in order to understand each sentence, only to discover that once I had pieced the sentence together, it only told me something which I already knew. I already have advanced knowledge on the mind- body connection which is why I might not have got much from the book, however for anyone who is new to the topic, you could learn a lot from this book.... but make sure you have your dictionary close by.

Not afraid to speak the truth ā„ļø
I am such a huge fan of Sayer. He speaks the truth where others may shy away. I had this book on pre order and waited in anticipation. He does not disappoint. Well done Sayer. In such difficult times you (and your wife) are such an inspiration and despite the fact you have put recent energies into being the āpeopleāsā activist (instead of promoting your own book) you have still become a number one ābest sellerā. You reap what you sow. Thank you.

Great for alternative practitioners
A worthy tome if you are a really interested in alternative medical practice. It has masses of papers and publications for reference and supporting evidence. For the layman, like me, the language was not only intimidating, but it seemed as if it were written , merely to impress. Eventually I found myself speed reading it in order to get it finished. It is probably more suited to somebody intellectually more clever than me.

GOOD BUT VERY TECHNICAL
Excellent book, but I found the language and terminology used in the book to be quite technical and certainly not for the average individual, quite a difficult read and I feel like you need to be a highly qualified professional to understand some of the context, I found myself having to read chapters several times over in order for it to actually sink in, and another thing I don't like about the book is the constant references to clinical trials based on the rat model, it is fairly well known now that successful trials in the rat model very often do NOT produce the same results when tested in human subjects because humans have very different physiology so just because something works in a rat does not mean it will work in a human, but yet the book is full of references to studies in the rat model

A revolution in personal healthcare.
A whole new way of looking at your health from the perspective of personal responsibility. This is a game-changer IMHO. And boy do we need a game-changer right now! Your personal healthcare library is missing out big-time without this book in it. Do yourself (and your loved ones) a favour - and remedy that :)
