5 star design let down by poor quality control
I have made a few of the Timberkits models now and find them to be good value and fun to build. However, the quality is let down by parts which haven't been perfectly drilled or cut (I expect this is due to outsourcing the manufacturing to China).I wanted the wheels to be driven by a Timberkits motor which I also bought. I just couldn't get the wheels to run smoothly with the motor - it was as if some pieces on the handles were not the correct size which meant the motor couldn't smoothly turn all four wheels. The model worked fine when manual/ hand operated.Now you may be thinking this is down to poor building skills, but believe me I was very careful to ensure everything was done correctly. I rebuilt the thing twice, ordered some spare parts, (one piece was actually missing from my box) but by the end I had to settle for something not quite perfect.I painted my model before assembly, sanded the parts, sprayed a base coat and painted the car a lovely gloss yellow. I wanted to do a perfect job but by the end I was actually sick of looking at it!.I don't think I will be buying another model for a while.

Not easy
This car was put together by a nearly 93 year old man! It had him thinking all the time and the fiddly bits sometimes had his cursing. The satisfaction he got when he finished the model was a joy to see.Bravo Timberkits.

Another excellent Timberkit product.
As all the timber kits are, this is really well made and packaged. The instructions are clear enough, but do need careful interpretation and comparing to the pictures. My son has this under construction, and although it will take plenty of time to complete, it will be very enjoyable.

Had to return which was a shame, because it wasn't suitable for the intended recipient. I wouldn't have minded having a go myself, but hey ho

Timberkit
This is my second timberkit model.I have just started making it but if i get as much fun out of making this as i did out of the first one i will be very happy.They are a great buy.

Thisi s an advanced model, not for the beginner, The instructions are goopd but require a magnifying glass to read making life difficult.
