Fantastic Cabinet!
Very solid and stable. Thick durable wood pieces that can carry some weight. The wood is hefty and strong with a beautiful finish giving the cabinet a classic, classy, clean look. The handles are durable and decorative. The hardware is packed in individual packages so there is no sorting or searching necessary. Each part is marked and matched with the diagrams in the instructions book. Once the piece is fully assembled, it may be moved around the room very easily. It suggests having two people to assemble, but I did it alone. Working alone, a couple of steps took a bit of ingenuity, but it is achievable. AND! It does not just have to be used in a kitchen! Great for a bedroom, recreational room, office, dining room; any place you need more storage. It works!

I am in love with this cabinet
I was a bit hesitant at first because I saw a lot of damaged product reviews, but since this cabinet is exactly what I was looking for I decided to give it a try and hope luck was on my side. I have to say, I declare myself a total Sauder Fan! I am impressed with the quality of this (and other thin cabinet that matches the set). I bought 3 cabinets (this large one + 2 thin ones) and I am absolutely in love with it. Pros: -It was VERY WELL packaged. I personally didn't have any problems with the product out of the box. No scratches or whatsoever. -Has a beautiful contemporary style -Lots of storage, perfect for a pantry cabinet! -Sturdy: stands up well, you can adjust the legs on each side if needed. -VERY EASY to build. I have to say. The instructions were very easy to understand, and you don't really need help. I am a lady (writing from Hubby's account) and I built it on my own. It took me about 2 hours because I was fooling around with my dog being in the way :) I only used help to line up the doors and have my hubby help me move it and flip it around so it wouldn't scratch. Cons: Honestly, I only found one thing to list in cons -if that- and is that the finish WILL scratch if you are NOT careful when building it, if you are careful with the pieces and don't drop anything you SHOULD be fine. It happened to me that I got careless and dropped one piece on top of another (maybe a 10 inch drop) and it did scratch the finish some but nobody else to blame there but me. I just list it as a con because it can be very delicate since it's still press wood with a veneer, so if you scratch that veneer, well, it won't look the best. In overall I am VERY pleased with this product and I will buy Sauder products again given the chance.. 10/10!

Good cabinet for a pantry.
We will use this cabinet as a kitchen pantry, since our house doesn't have a pantry closet. We bought it to replace our old one which was smaller and less sturdy. It took approximately 8 hours for my very capable 10-year-old and me to put together. This was not our first time assembling furniture, but it was definitely the most complicated one we've attempted. The instructions were mostly easy to follow. It was sometimes unclear which direction things like shelves should go, and we did have to take the door with the shelves apart, reverse the shelves and put it back together. Parts were labeled adequately. The assembly was fairly straightforward, although I don't understand why there were some spots with pre-drilled pilot holes for screws, and some spots where you had to make the pilot hole yourself. It doesn't recommend using an electric screwdriver, but if you put it on a low speed and use it carefully, it is immensely helpful. The twist-lock fasteners were more cheaply made than the ones I remember from assembling Sauder products in the past - if I'm recalling correctly, they used to be metal but now are mostly plastic, and they weren't as easy to tighten. There was some damage to the top molding - at first I thought it was some kind of tape residue but then realized it was actual damage to the veneer. I was able to order a replacement from Sauder's website and I will report back if I have any problems with that. Overall, a good product and it looks really nice, and will look even better when we can replace the top molding. I chose the color I thought most closely matched the wainscoting and chair rails in our kitchen, and it turned out to be really close. It holds all of our food with room to spare. I thought long and hard before giving this product 4 stars rather than 5, but the difficulties with assembly and the disappointing quality of the fasteners swayed me. I would still recommend this cabinet to those who have intermediate assembly skills.

Sturdy
Great cabinet, good value, sturdy and offers perfect space for kitchen stuff. You can use it for pots and pans ass it's nice and deep on one side and smaller things or food items on the other side. Good quality fasteners and great instructions. Takes a few hours to assemble but it's definitely a nice storage cabinet.

I love it
It's beautiful. I put it together myself over a few days, as I didn't have a lot of time to do it in 1 day. I'm 5'2" and this was too heavy for me to lift from the ground. So I built it on the couch and when I built all 3 side panels, top and bottom and put the backing on, I was able to move it off the edge of the couch and stand it up. I put the doors and hinges, a shelf unit with it standing up. You have to make sure the cam screws are tight and go in all the way. Once you make sure the unit is squared then it was safe to stand. I put a 5lb weight at the bottom back of the cabinet to ensure it wouldn't topple. Be careful building as it is a heavy unit. Building it with a second person is recommended and would make it go faster. It's a great size, nice and tall and will hold a lot. I do think it's a great value and paying for the shipping help, got it into my apartment. I wasn't able to even move the box. Next time, I might pay for assembly to make it easier. The instructions were clear. My unit had no smell.

Please don't buy this.
I'm actually stopping mid assembly to write this review, because I would feel terrible if someone else bought this cabinet because I waited until I was done assembling it to share this. I'm giving this one star instead of zero because Amazon won't let me choose zero, and because I think the color is nice, and I love the design- in the pictures at least. The pros end there. The cons- 1. It's too expensive to return. So once you get it, you're stuck with it. It is SO HEAVY (what she would think would mean quality, but don't get too excited – we'll get to that), I'm not even going to bother to figure out what the return shipping charges are. Plus they charge a restocking fee, which they point out to you as soon as you open the box. 2. Every piece is marked up in some way out of my box. Minor things, nothing I'm going to incur the massive shipping charges to return it over- but every piece has something wrong with it. And I'm really not all that picky – I have a bench that has a huge gouge in it, that was there out of the box – I colored it in with magic marker on that one piece and put it together and we still have it five years later. But seriously- every piece?!?!? The edge where the laminate coating meets the unfinished board just crumbles off. I have pieces of the stuff falling off in my hands every time I move it. The directions say to assemble it on carpet to avoid damaging the finish- which I am. But I could've assembled this in a room filled with nothing but marshmallows and it would still be falling apart. 3. There are air bubbles in the finish on most of the pieces- these are going to pop and peel when you slide things on and off the shelves – which is kind of a bummer because I bought this cabinet to put things in. 4. I have a lot of "assemble yourself" furniture in my house – shelving, cabinets, DVD storage, toy chest, a couple benches – I've done this a lot. This is tied for the most expensive piece of cheap furniture that I own now, and while I expected the back to be some kind of cheap material – this is marginally thicker than poster board. They give you the hardware to put it on – I don't know why, scotch tape would've done the trick. I actually almost tossed it until I saw the prepunched holes- I thought it was packing material. I've been spoiled by prepac (priced the same or cheaper). I own a lot of prepac, and it's cheap, but good quality and even the stuff the kids use (and are very hard on) has lasted for years. I was going back and forth between one of their cabinets and this one, and I chose this one only because I liked the color more, and because I bought it to put specific things in, and after measuring those things I thought they'd fit better in this one. So I decided to take a chance on this brand...Big mistake. The only reason I'm not returning it is because it would cost too much. I know a lot of people are saying you get what you pay for here – but I have so much furniture from target, prepack, other random places – this is the most expensive and worst of the cheap assembly furniture that I've ever put together. Finally- not specific to this piece of furniture, but as far as the company goes – they include a note in the box, I'm taking a picture of it- this just really rubbed me the wrong way. As more chunks of this thing or falling off in my hands as I'm putting it together – even the pieces that didn't look as obviously damaged when I started now do, and I'm being as careful as humanly possible. It's like "ha ha, we tricked you in to putting it together, now you're stuck!" Seriously – what person is going to order a $300 cabinet, put it together, take it apart, box it up and return it all within 30 days, unless there is something wrong with it? There is no reason for the company to write this down, because the answer is no one. NO ONE IS GOING TO BOTHER PUTTING FURNITURE TOGETHER THAT THEY DO NOT WANT ONLY TO TAKE IT APART, PACK IT BACK UP, AND RETURN IT- UNLESS THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT. So to me, that kind of says that they know it's crap. They know what's going to happen when you put it together. They know you need a masters degree in engineering to do it. And if you know there's something wrong with your product, and if you're having enough people put things together and then take them apart and return them to you that you have to write down a policy about it – you shouldn't be selling it. As I said I've gotten a lot of this type of furniture before, I've never seen anything like this. Usually the notes say something like "Thank you for your purchase! If you are unsatisfied or need assistance, please call us!" Finding this note in a box filled with this crap, it might as well have read "Nah nah nah nah boo boo."

Handsome Cabinet; Hellish Assembly
We are no strangers to assembling furniture. We have assembled desks, bookshelves, rolling kitchen carts, and even a second hand IKEA bed WITHOUT directions. It took a 3 person team of my husband, my roommate, and myself 7 HOURS to assemble this pantry. WHY. The directions do have some things going for them. The pieces are all very clearly labeled (A-SS), however, in the cons column, it comes with no tools, which became a problem. Being able to build the doors to the right or left is a nice feature, but if that's the case they should pre-drill the holes for you, the way they drill all the other holes in the cabinet, and just give you spacers to fill in the ones you don't use (which they already do anyway). Instead we had to use a power drill to clear the holes ourselves and our drill left ugly tears in the wood finish of the unit. I'm all for self assembly, but I'm not a carpenter. I don't want to have to take out power tools to assemble press board furniture. Aside from the idiocy with the drill, things were proceeding normally (if tediously) until around step 10, which was about 2 hours into the assembly experience, at which point the nightmare truly begins. The unit has a very complex set of feet that involve using a black screw down a long, tiny, dark hole to affix a plastic part to the base of the unit. Well. All of our screwdrivers were either too thick or too short to get the job done properly (amirite ladies?). We had one thin, skinny screwdriver that would fit down the hole, but it was poorly designed and would not give us the leverage we needed to get the screw to bite into the wood. It is at this point most mere mortals would admit defeat and buy a longer screwdriver. Not my husband. Instead we used Super glue, the skinny screwdriver a flashlight and a pair of pliers to painstakingly screw each of the thrice damned feet into unit. All Hail the Mighty Kraggle. Pro Tip: If you install the larger feet first, you can remove the smaller feet to line up the screws without taking apart the entire bottom piece. Unfortunately, that's not what we did. It would have been helpful for this revelation to have been included in the actual directions. After cancelling our dinner plans and ordering pizza, the next several hours became a cascade of bizarre double talk conversation: "I need the B-Bs and the O-Os." "Hand me the rest of the A-As" "How many Q-Q's are there?" (I assure you, reader, there was much QQing). You would think that you would use the pieces in alphabetical order, or any kind of order, but you would be wrong. When we got to step 25 or 27 (it's all a blur now) we realized that they hadn't bothered to pre-install any of the 15 or so cross dowels into the boards like they do in well made furniture. It was at this stage my husband suggested that it would be worth it to spend $200 to reorder the unit, just so that we could light this one on fire. By the time we reached step 31 we were asking ourselves the important questions such as "Why do I make such poor life choices?" "Why is this still happening to us?" and "Where is your god now?" We finally finished assembling the unit around midnight. Thank sweet baby Jesus water skiing Christ on a Tardis. I deducted 1 star for the ridiculous assembly and 1 star because it wobbles on my tile floor, even after we adjusted all 6 of the stupid feet. Also, the door magnets are worthless but I beefed them up with a stronger magnet I had around so I won't deduct points. However, the unit looks nice, it holds all of our stuff with room to spare and, other than the wobbling, the unit does seem sturdy. TL;DR: It's a good pantry if you can pay, con, or bribe someone else into assembling it for you.

Very Good Indoor Storage Option
Bought 3 of these for basement -they are great for de-cluttering - Christmas items , crafts, extra appliances - they are sturdy with ease to use hardware - I have had them over 2 years now and still in great shape - no wobbling - since I bought 3 did hire a handy man to put together - took him about 45 minutes for each one

Muy bonito pero un entrepaño dañado
Es buen mueble pero uno de los entrepaños viene dañado. No me Interesa devolver todo, solo que me envíen el entrepaño que sustituya al dañado (ver última foto), ya que tiene un dobles que no debería tener

Great storage space
This is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. It was easy to assemble and the directions were clear and easy to follow. Definitely a task for 2 people...but it was quick and easy.

It’s great but….
I like it a lot. It didn’t show up damaged like some of the other reviewers mentioned. When it’s in the box it is super heavy so be careful trying to move it. It’s big so make sure have adequate room to build it. Like the other reviewers, it did take a long time to build! My husband said it was pretty straight forward instruction wise. All the screws and stuff are in a labeled bag. The only problem I have is with the door that has the shelving on it. We’ve had this unit for a month now and the door is no longer on straight. I attached a picture so you can see what I mean. Now the bottom of the door hits the edge and the bottom. I didn’t notice when I first closed the door today(July 26) so there is a scratch on the bottom from me trying to close it a few times. I will see if my husband can do anything without taking the whole door apart. I might just have to live with it

Little chips off the finish everywhere
It is a beautiful cabinet, exactly what I need for storage. Very disappointed with the delivery, it looked like it had been on a truck and right in the way for a very long time. That fact may have been the reason for the number of marks on the cabinet, or maybe it was just a poor finish. Either way I have about 8 blemishes on my new cabinet, not huge but definitely noticeable. Unfortunately I needed it asap and it is quite heavy so returning it would also have been awkward and frustrating. If I had not had these problems I would rate it a 5 and change value for the money to a 5. Ease of assembly, well we had issues with the boards lining up as intended so the 3 remains.
