Writing Passion: A Catullus Reader (English and Latin Edition)

I'm writing this review partly to counteract the thoughtless review (it at this time being the only review on this product) that appeared when I looked on the main page which doesn't at all reflect the quality of the book. The notes on each poem are similar to those of other books by this publisher: they contain definitions for a large portion of the words and provide grammatical notes like "foret = esset; subjunctive in dependent..." which I've generally found very useful and sometimes essential. Overall a great book.

the poems are not school appropriate. please think twice before letting your children ruin their childhoods. my latin teacher forced me to buy this book and it literally took away my innocence. i dont know who catullus thinks he is, but someone needs to stop this guy. catullus 16 is scandalous. also in the second one he calls his penis a bird. what a freak.
