Most pleasant protein powder I’ve ever used
INSTRUCTIONS: Add 1/2 cup of liquid (water or juice) with 1 scoop of protein powder to a blender and mix thoroughly. Pour the froth into a container and let it sit for 1 hour or overnight to allow it to settle. Refrigerate for up to four days. I’ve used a lot of different protein powders over the years, but I often come back to this one. The short ingredient list, nice flavors, non-frothy texture, small amount of liquid needed to blend, and ability to mix it easily into other things (like veggie smoothies) makes it incredibly useful and versatile. The biggest problem with this powder is that the instructions are misleading. This doesn’t blend well in a shaker cup (most of it will gunk up in the cap and stick to the ball) and it takes way more than a few minutes to settle. You need a real blender and some planning/patience. If you try to make it according to the container’s instructions, you’re gonna have a bad time. But if you make it ahead of time, you’ll probably love it. I can’t believe I can make four days worth of shakes and let them sit in the fridge without them separating or turning into sludge like other shakes do after only a couple of hours. So while it’s not convenient in the grab a scoop and go sense, having it premade in the fridge to grab on your way out the door is even more convenient. My mother was told by her doctor that she needed more protein and she’s been struggling to get enough. She’s a petite woman who doesn’t eat much and she said the frothy traditional shakes are disgusting to her. So I introduced her to this clear protein (with a tiny splash of fruit juice) with accurate instructions, and she’s crazy about it! She’s so happy to have something that tastes good and grants her 20-30g protein in just a few sips. I’m really relieved that she’s getting the nutrition she needs now without too much hassle or dread.

Good Stuff
Good Stuff. The powder has a bit of a tough taste. Much better than most protein products. Totally drinkable. I add oranges or mixed fruits. I find that makes it very good. They tell you to stir it. You can't. It clumps up and is a mess. I put it in the blender. Do not put it on high and and just let it run. Pulse it slowly. That will mix it very well. The first time I put it in the blender, I let it go. I had Isopure all over my kitchen. This stuff foams like you have never seen. Just be a little careful with the blender and it works great. The foam goes away very quickly. I have tried the commercially bottled Isopure as well. I think it is great. I just can't afford it.

WAY TOO SWEET, GRITTY.
I usually try to be patient with new protein powders, especially since I’m post-bariatric surgery and my stomach is still adjusting to new foods, but this Isopure Clear Low-Calorie Protein was a complete disappointment from start to finish. First of all, the clumping is unbelievable. No matter how carefully I measured, shook, or stirred, it formed these little gritty lumps that refused to dissolve. I tried using cold water, warm water, a shaker bottle, and even a spoon to mix it manually, and every time, I was left with chunks floating in my drink. It felt like I was drinking a science experiment gone wrong rather than a protein supplement. Then there’s the taste — or, more accurately, the assault on your taste buds. It is way too sweet. Like, alarmingly sweet. Almost like they dumped half a bag of sugar into it. I was expecting something light and refreshing, maybe even slightly fruity, since it’s supposed to be “clear” and drinkable. Instead, I got a cloying, artificial flavor that made my stomach turn. I’ve tried flavored water, sugar-free sports drinks, and other clear protein powders before, and nothing has been this over-the-top sweet and chemically tasting. I honestly had to pour half the serving out because I physically couldn’t drink it. As someone who’s post-bariatric surgery, texture, taste, and digestibility are critical. My stomach is sensitive, and I need protein powders that are gentle, mix well, and are palatable so I can actually get the nutrients I need. This Isopure Clear product fails on all three counts. After three attempts to use it, I’ve completely given up. I ended up wasting money and feeling frustrated every single time I tried to drink it. I wanted a light, hydrating protein option that I could sip between meals without feeling weighed down. Instead, I got a powder that clumps, tastes horrible, is WAY too sweet, and makes me question why I even bought it. Honestly, I feel like they’ve completely missed the mark for people with sensitive stomachs or post-surgical dietary needs. I would not recommend this to anyone, especially anyone recovering from bariatric surgery who needs a reliable, gentle, palatable protein source. Save yourself the frustration and money — do not buy this.

Decent
I mixed 1 scoop with 40oz of water and used a frother. If you use a frother it blends well. Tastes ok, leaves a little after taste at first, but it goes away. Not sure it'd be very good in less than 40oz of water personally. Could be better but its doable to get some extra protein.

Happy with First Protein Experience
Disclaimer: total protein novice. Purchased the orange, strawberry, banana flavor on sale to try b/c I need more protein in my diet. Flavor is good. I mix it in water & like it really cold. Using a shaker left alot of clumps though. So, thru trial & error I now use about 2 oz of warm/hot water and 1 scoop of powder. Then use the shaker. It dissolves sooo much better! I then add another 6 oz of water and ice & shake it again. I'm left with hardly any clumps. This is the way if you hate clumps. It's also really good when adding a shot of diet tropical flavored V-8 Splash to it. It does help keep me feeling full throughout the afternoon. It's clear, which was a deciding factor for me. I hate the chocolate varieties of protein powders. They are messy and artificial tasting. This definitely ranks so much higher in the flavor category! Does it remind me of Crystal Light? Nope. But I was never a fan of Crystal Light, so that's a good thing for me! I will be repurchasing & will probably try the Berry flavor next, as I've read a lot of good reviews about that flavor. Definitely recommended giving this a try if you are looking for a refreshing, lighter protein powder.

A flavor roller coaster that doesn’t quite crest the hill.
I want to start off by saying I really wanted to like this product. I love clear protein powders and the flavors listed sound so good together. I’ll let you decide if the ingredients are right for you, so no input there. But I will say the container is smaller than others I’ve gotten, so it’s a bit pricier. The flavor itself is mild. Like, it gets halfway to flavortown, then takes a hard left. Hints of sweet and sour appear, but never fully develop. It leaves me wanting more flavor intensity. Maybe if you mixed it into sugar free juice it would be better? I just used water for my macros. But if you enjoy a mild flavor, this might be for you. Not too sweet, definitely best when ice cold, a smidge chalky on the aftertaste. Now onto the mixing… I don’t feel it mixes well at all. I have used a shaker bottle with lots of water and less water (to improve flavor intensity) and it always clumps up on the shaker device. I tried a frother and it just gums up the wires. I tried a good old fashioned spoon and even mashed up the clumps hoping to extract more flavor and… it just doesn’t blend well. All in all, it’s mid (as the kids say) but I’ll drink it because I paid for it and I need the protein.

A Winner
This is excellent!!! A little pricey but worth it IMO. Love that there is no “protein-y” taste. Decent protein content per scoop!

Trying it out
Heared alot about the brand... mixed pretty well in a normal shaker... taste is a acquired taste... lol... but it must just do what it's made for and that's all I want...
