Country Life Vitamin C Buffered with Bioflavonoids, 500mg, 250 Tablets, Certified Gluten Free, Certified Vegan

I take this twice daily with meals to help with Nickel allergy and general cold/flu virus protection. Yes, Vit C with meals can help people who have a Nickel sensitivity/allergy! It is mild, not harsh on stomach, buffered. Yay! I have GERD & Hiatal hernia, and this does not bother me at all. Skinny & long caplets are easy to swallow, not horrible tasting at all. Simply wonderful! Vitamin C is water soluble so no worries like fat soluble vitamins. Taking 500 mg a few times a day has also been known as a way to help you stay healthy when surrounded by colds and viruses, so I take it twice daily with food. When you feel like you are just getting that little tickle in your throats, or runny nose or any first signs of a virus, a Vitamin C boost is a known prevention. Each person has a different threshold. You take it until you notice a change in your stool, that is Your dose cut off, usually 1,200 to 1,500 mg a day. Break that up into 3 doses, that is your prevention dose. You can add some other remedies like D3/K2, Echinacea, Goldenseal, whatever floats your boat. I buy them separately now, but I used to buy a blend. It comes in an amber glass bottle for protection, so you know this is real & good quality Vitamin C, not the fake crappy kind.

Product is exactly what I wanted but I didn’t know what to expect. Text description indicates 100 count quantity, picture shows 250 quantity in bottle. I purchased hoping that the picture was correct and it was. Bottle did contain 250 capsules. Good deal for that price and quantity.

I’m on my second bottle! I take three a day. Helps with histamine load in my system and overall good health. No issues at all!

This product seems good for basic vitamin C and the "buffered" part has certainly done the job to avoid acid reflux type symptoms I had with other vitamin C products. The only reason I downgraded to 4 instead of 5 stars is that every bottle I've gotten--3 or 4 by now, has at least 2 broken tablets. I throw them out rather than taking a chance that they will scratch my throat going down.

Such a great price at Amazon, especially compared with WF! Purchased this large bottle for the same price as the smaller one there. We chose this one because it is certified GF. It has been easy on the stomach, especially important when we were all C loading after my mother had exposed us all to a virulent form of flu last month. We took 500 mg an hour as this is all the body can absorb, no sense taking higher dosages at once unless it is timed release. Not one of us became ill. Of course, we all have optimized D levels, and do not eat a lot of sugar items that are taxing to the immune system.

Needed to find a buffered Vitamin C lower than 1,000 mg. I wanted to find a lower one than this 500 mg, but couldn't find one without Rose Hips. I'm not supposed to take anything with Rose Hips. So, I'm still taking the 500 mg. - a little more than I wanted.
