Man with No Name Trilogy, The (BD) Review: Quintessential trilogy of Clint Eastwood best of the best of '"spaghetti westerns" is sure to please - If you are or know an Eastwood junkie or fan of the quintessential "spaghetti western" this trilogy is the best of the best of Westerns. The price was right, & my hubby was happily entertained by Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, Eli Wallach & other greats for many an afternoon or evening. Review: Great buy - As a kid my mom.loved Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns. However she always watched them on VHS. While she is no longer here I decided to buy this to see if my mother was right... She was. Not only are they all great films, but each film has been digitally remastered with sharp and clear picture and sound. With a 4K television each film is awesome and so detailed A+

If you're a MWNNT fan, this version is well done and a must
I've owned a much earlier version of The Man With No Name Trilogy on DVD widescreen since the early 2000's. I loved all three and I've watched them many times to say the least. I purchased the Blu-ray version for my Step Father but as it turned out he wanted a Roku badly so I purchased a Roku for him and kept the Blu-ray version of The Man With No Name Trilogy (I also gave him my original The Man With No Name Trilogy on DVD as they were in excellent condition and his Clint Eastwood collection was beyond pathetic considering he shares the same liking as I for movies including spaghetti westerns.) When I made the purchase I had glanced over a review saying something about improvements made to sound but I didn't give it much thought and just assumed the Blu-ray version couldn't be improved much over the DVDs I had once owned. I finally got around to watching the Blu-ray versions of Fistful of Dollars and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. I don't know if it's because I now have a 7.1 theater, the Blu-ray sound was dramatically improved, or both, but the Blu-ray versions of these classics are phenomenal. Not only are there massively noticeable improvements to the sound, but the Blu-ray version of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly includes all of the cut scenes not on the television and DVD version I owned (ie. the first of which is a 5 minute scene after Tuco robs the gun merchant and is preparing a chicken and potatoes in a cave.) Some people many not care much about this but the Blu-ray menus I think are very nicely done, not cheaply done as I've seen many other DVDs do with old movies. Next time around I watch the movies with the added narration track. 5 stars for sure.

Three Great Movies that Started the "Spaghetti Western" Genre.
These three movies by Sergio Leone were the start of the "Spaghetti Western" genre. All three are great movies but “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” is in a league of its own. If you want to see another GREAT movie by Sergio Leone, then watch “Once Upon a Time in the West”. It is a long movie (165 min) with a well-known cast. If you want to see a young Lee Van Cleef, then watch the 1953 movie “The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms”. He plays the solider that shoots and kills the monster at the end.

Quick Delivery. Content Great. Quality is not true BD. Very good price.
MWNN Trilogy. 20th Century Fox Home Video release. This trilogy is a classic. I have seen many times and never get tired of watching it. The acting, directing, soundtrack and storyline are all 5 star! The price was very good. However, here is my technical review: I have all three titles on DVD but wanted to have higher quality Blu-ray. Although stated as a 2014 remastered release, TGTBTU has a 2014 date, so that may be so. However, the other two (FFD and FFDM) both have a 2010 date. None of the titles appear to be remastered to full Blu-ray quality, but quality varies. The DTS-HD 5.1 audio is very good. However, the video quality varies as follows: 1. FFD - This title seems to be nothing more that a transfer from DVD to Blu-ray, and in comparing to the DVD version, I was not able to discern any difference in video quality. Doesn't appear to be remastered. 2.FFDM - This title is slightly better than DVD quality. Doesn't seem to be remastered. However, it appears some attempt was made to sharpen the video, which appears slightly better than the DVD. However, this sharpening introduces some graininess and video "noise" to the move. Still very watchable, but not true Blu-ray quality. 3. TGTBTU - This title has a newer production date than the previous two (both 2010). It is slightly sharper than the DVD, but without the graininess. Close-up and nearby shots are good but background is no better than DVD quality, especially on open range and distant shots. With that said, the cost of this trilogy was very good. However, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. If you are not expecting true Blu-ray quality, you won't be disappointed. I suppose truly remastered version might be available on the market, but likely at a higher cost. In summary, I give the content a strong 5 stars. Video quality, 3 stars at best. Does not appear to be remastered from the source, or if they were, not the best remastering I have seen.

This pack is fantastic. 3 Great movies for a pretty low price. The visual quality on all three movies are INSANE! How they were able to get such high visual quality out of movies that are over 50 years old at this point baffles me. Especially in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. The visual quality is so high you can see the pores on the actors faces even at a mediumish range shot. Now, there is one thing I should address about The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly that some others have raised concerns about. That would be the "Yellowing" of the movie. Is it really that bad? Well, no, it isn't. In fact, I didn't even notice any sort of "Yellow" filter or anything over the picture like others have said. I couldn't even notice the so-called "Yellow" sky, because any time the sky wasn't just white (Like it was in the original non remastered version) it looked pretty damn blue to me. No yellow at all! The only "Yellow" I could notice was that sometimes, maybe 2 or 3 times during the movie, some yellow objects were over saturated. They really popped out. That said, it was only the objects that were already yellow, and it didn't at all carry over to anything else weirdly enough. It was just some of these objects, like sand in one scene, and an actors face in another with the sun on him, for example, that were really over saturated for some reason. Again, every other color in these scenes were absolutely normal. This pack also contains a ton of great extra content, like commentaries, deleted scenes, interviews, trailers, that sorta stuff. One thing that felt like it was missing was The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly didn't come with a "Then and Now" part like A Fistful of Dollars did (I forgot to check if A Few Dollars More has it, but I'm assuming it does too). It would have been even more awesome if this set included that, because I'd love to watch it.

Two of the Blu ray cases were fine but the one for 'For a few dollars more' was cracked and one side broken away from the hinge. Box was abit bent out of shape as well
