Great soft cheese for breakfast or parties, have cheese spreader handy
Boursin has been around for a long time. I ate it at my French Aunt and Uncle's house back in the 1960's. Please note, however, that it is no longer imported from France but made here in America. Like all good things, it was bought out in a corporate deal, although the formula is, I believe, unchanged. I did find the Amazon price high at $7.50 plus tax and shipping (free for Prime holders). Locally, it's available at Wally World for $3.98 and BJ's for the same price. Great cheese.

Not what it used to be
Your garlic and herb cheese used to be something I enjoyed and was pleased to share with others. In the last few years, it is dry and flavorless - chaulklike. I redeem it by warming it on the counter when I run a dishwasher cycle and adding salt, minced fresh garlic, chives, dill and parsley to give it flavor enough to make it worth of eating. It seems like a subsequent generation coasting on a good impression made in earlier times when quality was expected and appreciated. I think I could accomplish the quality I want with those herbs and a mixture of goat cheese and cream cheese and skip Boursin altogether. Just another brand taking advantage of loyalty earned in the past and no longer true to its origins.

My Favorite Cheese with Crackers
Before deciding to review this cheese on amazon I didn't know it was imported from France. No wonders I love it so much. It has a perfect flavor that goes with Monet Pepper and Poppy crackers. You need one package of cheese for each packet of crackers. I like snacking on this in the afternoon while sipping on hot apple cider. I think this is now my favorite cheese. So creamy and delicious. I'd suggest you buy this instead of Boursin light which is not quite as delicious. But the regular spreadable Boursin is also good if you can find it in a tub.~The Rebecca Review

Wow!! Delicious!!
I received a free sample of this product in return for my honest opinion.I brought my free sample of Boursin Garlic & Fine Herb Cheese to my aunt's house for Noche Buena (our Cuban Christmas Eve Celebration) My entire family from my 3 year old son to my 85 year old grandfather loved every bite. We served it with pita chips along side a tray of fresh vegetables and a loaf of cuban bread. Its delicious on veggies, bread, crackers and just a spoon!!
