Little Artists Unicorn Family Kids Sewing Kit with Instructions - Craft Kit for Girls Age 7+

My 7 and 8 year old daughter's loved this. They were so excited about getting to sew something by themselves. The kit can make 3 small unicorns, 1 large unicorn, 1 pillow and 1 mountain. The instructions say to cut off 10" of double sided thread to start the project. I found that it needs a little more than twice that (about 25") per small unicorn and I used a single strand of thread. The plastic needles are large and easy for little fingers to handle, plus no risk of getting pricked. The parts for each project come in its own plastic bag, so you know what pieces go with what item. The accents pieces that are shown in the photos on the packaging ,like the horn, tail and mane do not all match up, so you will need to be a little creative and decide what pieces can go where to make a mane or tail. The other decorative pieces (eyes, hearts, stars, etc) are adhesive and have peel off paper to allow them to stick to the unicorn. They are not super sticky though, so you might need some glue to help them stay in place. Overall, this was a really cute and fun project for my girls and it is a great way to help them learn to sew.

My 9 year old recently became interested in sewing after receiving an embroidery set for her birthday. I was looking for something that would be easy for her to complete and actually be useful once finished. She was so excited to get this set in the mail, she used it the first day. Very easy for kids to use and makes adorable toy unicorns and pillows. This has a lot of supplies so it can be used many times. I really like the carrying kit as it can hold all her sewing supplies. The unicorns are adorable!

My daughter is beyond excited about having received this for her birthday. She really wants to get started in sewing and this kit is perfect for her. I love that it comes with all sorts of felt pieces to really make the product your own. Great bargain for the price with several unicorns and a pillow in the package.

My daughter (8) loves this kit! She does need help with the knots and has sowed things on backwards and has gotten a bit frustrated that she did it incorrectly but that's how we learn trial and error. She is enjoying learning to sow and BONUS its unicorns!

My daughter loves this sewing set! The decorating stickers seem low quality and are not very adhesive. Overall, it’s a good value for the money and my 6 year old has really loved learning to sew with this unicorn kit. I love that the needles are not so sharp they could hurt her and the precut holes make it super easy for her to learn the sewing motions. Overall, I would recommend this product, just be prepared for the little embellishments to fall off pretty quickly.

My granddaughter was thrilled that I gave her her own "sewing kit" we also gifted her extra felt and yarn as we bought a new hole puncher so she can make her own designs after she makes all of the unicorn family. Lovely gift idea!

I bought this for my six year old. I think I was more excited than her to get it. Good quality, good instructions. The only bad thing was the stickers didn't stick. I had use glue to get them to stick. I loved it but I think it was too time consuming for my little one

My 8 year-old granddaughter loves this. She has been showing interest in machine sewing and her mom suggested a hand sewing project first to learn basics and finishing techniques. Good learning opportunity.
