Happy as Lazzaro is one for the ages. The sheer clarity with which Alice Rohrwacher's vision translates to screen is astounding. As odd as the tale is, it never feels so. Sweepingly breathtaking yet earnestly soul-shattering

Italian film about a slow thinking young man who lives somewhere in the middle of Italy(contry side), and everyone likes him because they take advantage of him, made him do their work duties.Along comes the bosses( who son (a young man in his early twenties) who also start to take advantage of him, some where along the movie Lazzaro suffer a mishap and he finds himself in the near future where everybody is gone. A very strange story with the twist kind of stupid. Lazzaro is supposed to be likeable character, but there is not much to like about this movie.

Whimsical film, the actors are naive and do a fantastic performance loved this unique masterpiece.
