I'm very pleased with the laptop. I have been using it for work for a couple of weeks now, it functions flawlessly. It is used/refurbished with windows 11 pro installed. The chassis looks great, the seller installed a dark gray/black sandpaper skin on it and I love it. The display looks flawless, no scratches or bruises. The battery works good, at the moment I have used it for 3.5 hours and it's at 62% with 5h 32min remaining according to windows. It is fast and it's running all the apps I need flawlessly. It came with a 65W charger DELL brand and it works perfectly. I'm very happy with the laptop and have no buyer's regret. I would buy another one from this seller.

Just a great laptop for the price! This is my base Windows 11 laptop. I'll be moving my other laptop to a Linux system. The Dell Latitude 5400 is my backup! Really happy as this laptop was refurbished and in very good quality! Thanks to the folks in Romulus, MI!!!!

Nothing but problems with this thing. It works fine one day and the next I have to turn it on and off a bunch of times to get it to work again! And when it comes back to life it goes on working as if nothing happened. When I first got it, I thought having to do a power cycle to get it to work was just a fluke so I kept it, but now I know that this device came defective! Stay away if you can!

First, I need to say that the computer is running perfectly and cosmetically is close to prefect. The machine was received well packed and protected. Having said that, there were a a few things that HAD to be tweaked. The operating system, Win 11 Pro, was loaded, but it was a "Lenovo" labeled system (this is a DELL system). Because of this, there were some issues with drivers that had to be worked out. After some false starts, I found it most expeditious to go to the Dell Support site and download their "Automatic Update" scanner which checked out the system and loaded 11 critical drivers, including a BIOS upgrade. Once the updates were installed the system began to act like a true installed, the machine began to act like a CORE I-7. Next, I relied on Amazon's Q&A section to tell me if the 16 gb installed memory was upgradeable. Rufus told me no, that the system had one memory slot and a max of 16 gb which was already installed. WRONG. The system has two memory slots which can handle 32gb of DDR$ memory. That made Win 11 happier. But, to install the expanded memory, I had to remove the bottom of the case. I found that whoever had been inside the case last (presumedly the refurbisher) had tightened the case screws to the point that one of the screws had to be drilled out. The slots in the screws were so tight that they had been damaged, perhaps by using a power operated screwdriver. Fortunately, the screws are aluminum and were drilled out easily using a 5/64th in bit. I found a replacement screw in my box of junk parts which fit perfectly. Once the rear cover was removed, I found that the battery screws had been left out and the battery was free to move about a bit (back to the junk box to find replacements). The two 16 gb 2666 SoDIMMs (32Gb total) were installed and the machine functioned flawlessly. In summary, the machine is excellent functions perfectly. Just be prepared to do some tweaking to get it act like a true 8th Gen I-7. Even knowing what I now know, I'd buy another of these machines in a heartbeat. Its a good very fast machine.

5 starts because the Seller Tekrefurbs saved this one. Our original purchase came in an looked great. The laptop had a custom fit black skin over the entire body to make it appear as new. the Screen was bright and overall the computer was zippy. exactly what you would expect from the specs. However, ours was doomed from the time we pushed the power button. each boot revealed the bios wanted to boot headless. it was quick so we ignored it. Once into Windows, the fingerprint button didnt work, the pointstick was extremely hard to make move and worse still, the cursor would move to the right on its own. progressively faster and faster which made clicking on anything IMPOSSIBLE. we disabled the touch stick in system settings but it really did not fix this thing. we had touch issues with the touchpad not registering clicks and touches. Just made the system hardly useable. Instead of just a return and buying a new one, I messaged the seller. They responded quickly and were immediately ready to help. I told them our issues (video was too large to upload in the chat) and within 24 hours they had issued a return label. once the item was scanned, they had a new one ready to ship to us. they responded that they would check it to make sure. When we got the replacement, the packing slip had internal notes to check every issue we had faced! Computer booted immediately and was in perfect working order. all systems go including the fingerprint power button and point stick. system did its update dance and even ran self install of the Dell driver software to ensure it had what it needed. that did some updates and so far, this system is running great out of the box. Still just 24 hours into this system running but so far, it appears to run great. SSD is a Sandisk version in case anyone cares about that. Performance seems spot on for the i7 with 16gb ram. We will pressure test this for our future college student but so far, this is a great budget laptop for a student. anything intense he needs to do will be run on his gaming system.

It’s a good value for the money. It looks brand new. Everything is functional including the backlit keyboard light (which I turned off). Fast power up and down. The keyboard has a nice feel to it. 16 GB of RAM is plenty for my purposes. I downloaded the Microsoft battery health app and it indicates the battery is at 67.44% capacity, which doesn’t sound great, BUT when on battery power for two hours it drained the battery to 60% of full charge. That’s fine with me, mostly because I use it plugged into the electrical outlet most of the time. No complaints here. I would recommend it and I would buy it again if their other laptops are this good.

Tech Refurbs was fantastic, while I did have a problem with the Dell Latitude I bought from them, they promptly replaced it, resolved a minor technical issue with the replacement just as promptly, and I would have no reservations regarding either buying from them in the future. I would also recommend them to anyone else looking for renewed/refurbished Laptops or PC's.

The unit I received was in a very good condition. It does the job and it is fast. An excellent buy. Since it is a high speed laptop, it releases a lot of heat and the battery will drain fast if you don't control the usage. Overall, it is an excellent laptop for me for the price of $399.

Even though it is a refurbished laptop it looks like a brand new.
