very useful emergency lamp
We bought one of these a year ago to use as a cockpit come anchor light on our boat but hsad never used it until last night when we had a sudden total power outage to 100,000 homes in our area in Florida . The light was excellent and so good we took a midnight drive to the local 24hr Wally World to buy another since we are now in hurricane season and power outages are to be planned for as part of a sensible storm plan. Sadly walmart were out of stock of this model only having more expensive and bulky ones. But at least they had their air conditioning on (as well as lights) in the store which we did not of course have ourselves at home. So now I Have just placed an order with Amazon for this two pack of these lanterns. Hopefully if we are well prepared for that bad storm we will never need to use them in anger!! Lamps take two 'D' Cells which are easy to fit into the base of the lamp and as these are standard flashlight batteries they are usually in stock everywhere

Came on time, but the 1 I opened the knob to turn on & off was damanged. I still put batteries in it & the light was dim. I got these for me & my Father who does not live with me. I sent tham back. I need something dependable & sturdy

Orderd the silver received red. Very poor design and construction. Bought as a gift now have to wait for the seller to ok the return. Could take 3 to 4 weeks! Unacceptable how would they feel to have to wait 3-4 weeks for payment.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!
Got this as gift from my daughter. Does not work! Battery will not hold charge. Only lights up if plugged in. If you research you will see countless customers saying the same thing. Why are these people still in business?!!!
