Twill Thrills: The Best of Weaver’s (Best of Weaver's series)

Excellent book that belongs in every weaver's library.

I've been weaving on and off for more than 12 years, without really getting "caught" by weaving fever. Until I got this book. Now I really understand so much more than I did before and have been weaving regularly. It is well written with great illustrations and pictures. There is enough information here that you could weave nothing but twills and be busy for years. It gave me a whole new appreciation of twills, rather than thinking it was pretty much a "starter" weave pattern. I would recommend this book to every weaver I know.

This is an absolutely fantastic book. There are many wonderful designs that can be adapted to many different projects. I just got the book last week and have already reworked several into completely new projects I can't wait to get on the loom. Really glad I bought this book.

This was a great addition to my collection of weaving books. It will useful as begin to design my projects on my new loom.

An excellent collection of twill studies can generate ideas for other experiments in the never ending world with twill. This collection is a must for any weaver.

I was eager to read the articles about network drafting and about advancing twills. They are perfect for me and will help me to go further on my weavin path.

As an advanced beginner weaver who loves twills this was a good buy. I liked how the projects are organized in a progression of twill theory starting with straight-draw and ending with networking and beyond. The majority of patterns presented were for 8-shafts or less while the more advanced imagery multiplied them exponentially. It's fun to see what more shafts can do for you. My only criticism is I hoped for more patterns in traditional twill. I would buy this again!

Leider beinhaltet das Buch auch sehr einfache Ideen, die einem fortgeschrittenen Anspruch nicht mehr gerecht werden... Darunter leidet das "Erlebnis" etwas. Trotzdem noch empfehlenswert.
