Well made and great addition to mountain bike kit
Excellent addition to my mountain bike kit. Compact, strong and easy to use. Tip - when repairing a mountain bike tire, twist two plugs together and use as one. A little bit of heat also helps to make them stickier and more pliable. If repairing at home, add a dab of rubber cement. Plugged my front tubeless tire months ago and it’s still going strong.

Well-designed, great quality, light/compact in pack, good value/price
I chose this repair tool because of (A) its slender shape (vs stubby-shape) for the purpose of compactly fitting well with other tools in my pack, and (B) having a separate fork & a reamer. I picked bright orange color so not to be forgotten/lost on trail side. Without the bacon strips (x8 included; x4 stored in each side), the tool itself is 23g on my digital scale. Although you can't fish out the bacon strips out of the tool with your fingers, you can easily scoop them up with the fork or the reamer tip. I'd recommend re-packing the bacon strips (x4 in each side) for easy retraction (as shown in my picture): insert the strips with folded side near the middle of the tool, with strip tips folded inward, and line up 4 strips evenly around inside the tool. Highly recommended.

Good repair kit but look for better options
Used it to successfully fix two punctures on one tire only one day after getting the repair kit. I fixed it at home as the sealant was good enough to let me finish the ride. Some lessons learned from using the kit. Practice using the kit at home (maybe on an old tire) before you actually need to use it on road/trail. I completely let go the air in tire on first try and still struggled a bit on second try. The sticky bacon strip may not stay in the tire when you pull the fork/needle out. Push the bacon strip deep enough, hold strip with fingers and slowly twist/pull the fork/needle will give you a good chance to keep the bacon strip in place. Thoughts on this kit: reamer and fork are a bit too long (for at least road tire) and you may damage rim tape if you push too hard. Had to angle it to avoid hitting rim/rim tape. Having separate reamer and fork takes extra space in the saddle bag. Reamer/fork in one design seen in other kit would be sufficient and save space. The diameter of the tube is slim but also makes getting bacon strips out a bit difficult and folded strips due to space limit makes it even harder. I will keep the kit for sure as it's sufficient and fix appears to be good but I'm also start looking for another kit with following criteria: reamer/fork in one combo design for space saving long enough reamer/fork length to sufficiently go through tire but not too long to easily hit rim wider tube diameter for easy bacon strip access single side fork design if possible (or I'll cut it myself) for easy release bacon in tire when pulling out fork incorporate a strip cutter somewhere in the kit (useful for slick road tire repair)

Great product that I hope I never have to use!
This is a well designed and engineered tire plug kit. I bought it so that I have one in my bike repair kit, and hope that I never have to use it! But it's light, nice aluminum design, and the color options are a nice touch. Worth the price if you are in the market....

A nice safety addition to your bike kit
This is one of those tools you should have, but never want to use. I have never had to use mine, so I cannot comment on if they work. I can say the container ins suitable small. Easy to store. And has what I think is needed to patch a tubeless tire. Pros: - nice color options for the canister - everything included within the container - easy to store within the frame of my Trek Cons: - none Would I recommend to others: Yes Would I purchase again: Yes

Perfect emergency tool for rides
Awesome small tool for riding! I bought another but the reamer and install tool were to large and I didn’t want to make such a large hole in my tire. The reamer on this one is 1/8 inch and works perfectly and fix was fast. My tire hold air again!

Fantastic Little Trail-Side Tool
This is a great little tool to throw in your trail bag or your saddle bag! The build construction is a nice solid aluminium that is anodized to stand up to the ware on the trail. The two tools that are included are a fork instrument and sharp gnarled spike. These tools can be easily used to stab into the hole in your tire and patch it using the provided 1.5mm thick rubber repair strands. These patches are very tacky and when mixed with sealant do a great job in sealing a hole. One flaw I did find is that these patches can be a bit difficult to remove from the housing, with some practice and patience it is possible to do, however, the hope is that you wont need to use them! This is a great tool for anyone riding on tubeless tires!

Handy tool, but green color is weak.
I purchased what I thought was a strong green color. Instead, what I received was a very PALE green colored unit. The device is small and light weight. I weighed it at 0.80 grams. 4 1/8 inches long. The point of the puncture/reamer tool is EXTREMELY sharp. I filed down the point. Way too sharp. Could damage the rim tape if not careful.

Good quality metal nicely made Very handy

I wasn't sure how big this was going to be but I was certainly surprised how small it was when I received it. Very compact and well made. I haven't had the need to use it yet, not that I'm complaining, but from what I can tell just by looking at it, it will do the job!

Well, I've had to use this already on a pretty big gash on the centre tread area during a mountain bike ride. First of all the finish, weight and size is amazing. Extremely compact, light and top notch quality. There are rubber o-rings to seal it up. I wanted the orange one but they were out of stock at the time, sadly. Now, it worked well in actual use trailside but the included strips are WAY too small for a mountain bike and probably even a road bike at a guess. I had to shove 5 strips in for it to seal a hole in my mountain bike tyre and it was still temperamental. Took around 30 mins+ to repair due to the small size of them. The tool itself is easy to use. I will certainly be buying much thicker strips to replace them. After all if you have a cut or puncture sealant cannot repair it will be a big one! Also there is no way to cut the strips without a seperate knife, it would be great if a tiny one was included so you don't have to worry about them being pulled out. They did survive a gentle ride back home. On another note I will also be adding ground pepper or glitter to my sealant which is meant to help with puncture repair. Still, it's an amazing kit that'll last a long time.
