Perfect fresh tortillas, delivered safely.
I am celiac and have been eating gluten free for about 15 years. Until recently my daily diet included a couple of slices of GF bread. About a year ago, I noticed that I was getting sleepy and having trouble with focussing my eyes after eating bread, and finally early this year, I gave it up. Later I realized that the reaction was probably to the yeast in it. Since I love Mexico food and particularly tortillas, which can be used in so many ways, I replaced the bread with a couple of tortilla a day. But then the shopping challenges started. Grocery-store tortillas are loaded with preservatives I don't eat. Health food store tortillas are crazy expensive and generally not just plain corn tortillas, but more elaborate productions. A great day was when I discovered in a Latin grocery store about 40 miles from home a brand (Milagro) of fresh tortillas with nothing but corn masa and water in them. Opening the bags was a revelation as the scent of corn wafted out. I bought five packages at a very reasonable price and took them home, sticking most of them in the freezer until I needed them. When I ran out I made the trip again. And then again. And then I started to get tired of making this trip. Which brought me to Amazon. I was frankly astounded to find a source of fresh tortillas here. No preservatives, exactly what I was looking for. Pricier than the 40-mile-drive tortillas. But the eight-pound package drove the price down to $4 a pound, and these packages are at least twice the size of the Milagros. So all in all a decent deal. It was a little work to find space in my crowded freezer for all those tortillas, but definitely worth it. So how are they? They are perfect. They are soft and flexible right out of the refrigerator. Heated on a comal or dry frying pan (or with a spritz of oil if you think they'll stick) they become a little tougher when they bend (so they don't tear when you stuff and fold them. I prefer to toast mine a little longer and eat them flat with melted cheese and some chopped cilantro and tomato (my everyday breakfast). When I take a new pack out of the freezer, I unthaw it in the refrigerator so the moisture inside can reabsorb naturally. I believe these tortilla are packaged very quickly after their initial cooking to transform the masa dough into a solid tortilla. That's why you'll see moisture in the bag if you thaw them out too quickly. Even if it happens, it's not a problem. Just take what you are using in the moment, reseal and put it in the refrigerator. there are a lot of tortillas in these bags. It's unlikely you're going to use them all at once. Since you have to tear or cut the bag to open it and it doesn't reseal, you have to find another way to protect the extras from drying out until you want more. I use a quart-size zip bag, tuck the tacos into one corner,, fold it over lengthwise, almost close zip, fold the excess bag over the top, press out as much air as you can, and finish zipping it closed. This keeps them from drying out or, horrors, getting moldy. I have not lost one taco with this method, despite forgetting to re-refrigerate the bag sometime for a whole day. After all these words, did I forget to say they taste good? They do. They also have that lovely corn smell that is so different from leathery tacos from the supermarket. No matter how you use your tortillas, they perform exactly as a tortilla should. Finally, I should add that the packing for the eight-pound pack was excellent. They fit tightly in a hard cardboard box and arrived in perfect shape. In sum, I highly recommend them and thank the company for producing. By the way, since February I dropped one clothes size and am close to dropping another. Who'd think giving up bread could do that?

A Sad Disappointment
I had a bad outbreak of my Celiac's disease & needed to go to 100% gluten-free eating overnight, until the outbreak was under control. I carefully read the reviews on multiple tortillas that I wanted to use for soft taco's, while being sure to choose one that was gluten-free. I honestly do not know how the reviews that I read, got it so completely wrong. Immediately after assembling the soft taco, this tortilla literally fell apart in my hands & in multiple pieces. I didn't even have enough time to take a bite - that's how fast these tortilla's came apart! As this reoccurred with the second attempt as well, I just gave up. I had been hoping to freeze half of the package for later use. However with these Spectacularly Fast FAILS, I threw out the remainder of the package. I was Ready for soft taco's & instead, got a bitter & sad disappointment. Is there No Not One Manufacturer that has perfected a gluten-free tortilla, that will Not fall apart?!?!

Wonderful Tortillas!
I was hesitant to buy food from Amazon, but I couldnโt find gluten-free corn tortillas locally, so I took a chance. Iโm so glad I did! These are great! They taste like normal corn tortillas. As soon as I got them, I heated some lightly in my toaster oven and served them with bell peppers, onions, and guacamole. And it was gluten-free! I donโt know exactly how many are in a package, but it seems like a lot. Easily more than ten. The only tortillas I found locally were made of flaxseed and unicorn snot or something and were over ten dollars for a pack of eight. Bleh! These corn tortillas are way better, a good bargain, and no unicorn snot.

Tasty Tortillas
I've always made quesadillas with flour tortillas, yet after trying these as a substitute we will never go back. These tortillas make fantastic quesadillas... or a great snack if you just want to heat them up with a little butter. They heat to a nice crisp in a pan or make wonderful enchiladas. They have a tendency to separate as they heat, but that did not deter me from adding them to our subscribe & save list.

Still on the hunt
We've been searching for soft, pliable corn tortillas like our local taco joint serves. Although these have a great corn smell and taste, they still tear when trying to fold over. The search will continue, but these tortillas do have a good flavor.

yummy,healthy, good price
I had my doubts about changing from flour to corn. SO love flour tortillas but I'm trying to avoid gluten. Corn has no gluten. Gluetin is a BAD ACTOR for health reasons. So pleasantly surprised. A quick few seconds in the microwave they become soft and pliable and so flavorful. Noel. Georgia

Best tortillas!
When these arrived, they felt as though they had been frozen...which may have happened en route, since the company is in N.J. Who knew that New Jersey could produce such lovely tortillas? I was raised on the border, but have been gone for decades, so I have missed the great Mexican food and fresh tortillas. These tortillas turned out to be wonderful. I used a little spray oil to heat them and they became soft and pliable. Actually fell apart in a soft taco.....which believe it or not, is a good sign. They only came in a large quantity, so I had to put them in the freezer, but I suspect they will still be delicious when I'm ready to use them.

One of the worst things I have ever eaten!
I can't say anything good about this, and as far as I'm concerned if it could have zero stars it should. They don't roll like a taco should they crumble and turn into bits and pieces and planks. They taste like cardboard. Our hands down the nastiest tacos I have ever eaten in my entire life. Would never buy them again and if it wasn't food I would demand my money back immediately. These are just vile! Save your money, do not buy this product unless you like to eat paper.
