anyone buy it for a baby? my son is 1 and i know i know things with "small parts" but is this not durable enough to withstand a little banging?

I bought it for my 5 year old special needs son he chewed on it a little and eventually dropped it from his high chair- the black frame broke and the silver needles flew everywhere. That said if he's sitting and it falls on a carpeted area it should be fine. It's not really built to withstand a larger drop/ abuse though.

Maybe for a little while, but he will probably get bored with it i bought it for my 8 year old boy in May and he is over it already
