Tetra Pond Food Premium Diet for Koi & Goldfish, 1.25 lbs

Our koi love this food. Does not sink and floats on top for the fish to eat. We love to watch them go for this food!

My koi seem to really like this food. I like it because in a stick form I can hand feed my fish, which I really like doing.

I feed my pond goldfish nothing else. They love it. And the water stays really clear.

I didn't like it, it does make the water cloudy and caused slime all over bottom of my tank. Plus my fish didn't like it.

This food does seem like good value for the money, it’s quite a lot of food. Unfortunately, my goldfish don’t really like to eat from the surface so they really didn’t eat it much. It definitely seemed to do a good job at not getting the water dirty.

For reasons unknown, direct deliveries of Tetra flakes from the USA are no longer possible. Customs are stopping all parcels. For other unknown reasons (the same ones?) flake prices have risen sharply. So I took advantage of excellent (temporary) prices to stock a relatively large quantity (I have no worries about the shelf life of a batch of flakes - I'm convinced the sealed bags will be OK for over a year). My Koi will soon start to winter (outside, in Quebec, in winter, it will be cold in a few weeks) and will eat very little. In 6 months (without food!), they will resume their normal life cycle. And the life cycle will begin again... As far as flakes are concerned, my Koi only eat those (and “graze” on what they find in their pond). So for us it's a must-have product that I'll continue to buy.

I recently tried the Tetra Pond Food 1.25lb Bag for my goldfish, and I must say they absolutely love it! The taste seems to be very interesting, as even I couldn't resist giving it a try in a funny way. The pellets are packed with nutrients and promote healthy growth for my fish. However, the only downside is the price, as it's a bit expensive compared to other options on the market. Despite that, seeing my goldfish happily devouring the food makes it worth the splurge. Overall, it's a fantastic choice for your aquatic pets, and a quirky snack for humans too (if you want to try something adventurous!)
