Yamaha Yht-1840 4K Ultra Hd 5.1-Channel HDMI Subwoofer Home Theater System with Dolby and DTS - Black

After taking demo of SONY Home Theaters { N7200W / E4100 / E3200 / HT-IV300 / HT-RT3 }, I got to know that: 1. N7200W has ground shaking Bass with Decent Clarity and Design (High Price and large sized Blue-Ray Player has no use to me). 2. E4100 has good clarity but i don't have space for placing rear surround satellite speaker towers. 3. E3200 again has good clarity same as E4100 with same Subwoofer having Decent Bass within reasonable price.(HIGHLY Recommended for Sony Lovers) 4. HT-IV300 is very loud with unbalanced bass response, sometimes overpowering and sometimes under. Good only for 5.1 experience from DTH with sufficient connectivity features. 5. HT-RT3 is a sound bar with good Dialog Clarity for day to day TV use but is not good for music and movie experience. Recommendations as per my experience (Take demos and do compare with other models on same content in your nearest store before purchase): Sound Bar: Samsung Soundbar HW-M550 Sony Budget HT: E3200 Yamaha Entry/Mid Level HT: YHT 1840 (2017) with Extra Bass Feature and Latest Surround sound processing Technology/ YHT-196 All was good going before i heard AVR system that too of Yamaha. I took demo of this model at Reliance Digital then i thanked god for having patience. After listening to few tracks on this and Sony systems i noticed a big difference in clarity and came to know what balanced sound is. Now every Sony system was sounding harsh with overpowering bass. So, I immediately purchased this one as YHT 1840 met all my expectations and now i am very happy with it's balanced sound in music and outstanding movie theatre experience. AVR has lot of sound effects and modes for music and movie. AVR should be kept in well ventilated, dust free environment and connected to stable power supply for trouble free run. *Not very loud and overpowering bass as from Sony but sufficient for a 18 ft x 30 ft room. *Sony has good nation wide service availability but Yamaha has limited. * No Bluetooth Connectivity in YHT- 1840 so, i have used Logitech Bluetooth Receiver to connect my phones & laptops. *Bass from stock sub woofer of Yamaha may sound insufficient for some Sony users but is suffice with smooth crossover; Satellite speakers of YHT 1840 are damn good both in clarity and response with design that becomes part of room. *Before cutting speaker wires given in the YHT-ib make precise measurements. Very satisfied with Yamaha as per my taste & needs and Thanks Amazon for safe and fast delivery.

Pros...just for movie lovers...great cinematic sound(even in standard mode)...greater after knowing settings and greatest with right speakers location. Cons...no bluetooth connectivity. ....... I HAVE to say plz don't compare with sony or logitech z906 coz yamaha is yamaha.btw this model is only gor movie lovers not for base lover(may be I m unware about settings). Let me explain..whenever I listen a song and wanna dance,bass is not up to the mark.but whenever I watch a movie ,bass is greatest n dont know why there is no effects on my baby's sleep.even its FAAAADUUUUUUU cinematic sound.

A great home theatre system. Sound is mindblowing especially in movies. This is a new model from yamaha and its best in this price segment. Crisp and clear sound. Must have for movie lovers with Blu ray collection. It will bring movie theatre to the home. Remember that this segment of av receivers is having no limits therefore it is necessary that we choose carefully. This particular model of yamaha home theatre is reasonably priced home theatre system which delivers a true sound. If you want to know that what is true sound go to any electronics shop and listen the various models of sony and this one. Sony systems is having more boom-boom effect but yamaha is having a very well balanced treble and bass with a very high quality surround sound. Virtual cinema front is just awesome (its a feature where you dont have arrangements for setting the surround speakers behind the listening position of your room therefore you place the surround speakers in front of listening position. Here Yamaha does the trick. Just turn on the virtual cinema front and you will feel like surrond sound is coming from behind.) There are various sound modes which is again just awesome. Just choose various modes wisely and the theatre in home. One more reason to buy this model is its the latest model i.e., 2017. And last thing is to produce a true sound output it needs a better input. Here Blu ray disks does the trick and delivers a true high power 5.1 channel surround sound effects with very well balanced treble, bass (extra bass feature is also there) and centre channel. Subwoofer is passive not active. If you wish you can connect another subwoofer as there is a connecting point for another subwoofer which you have to buy separately. But i think thats not necessary. Overall its a very well priced high power true 5.1 channel surround sound system which will bring cinema theatre sound experience to your home.

After a long searching and reviews finally i bought this new model from Yamaha,thanks to amazon for safe delivery and packing. About the performance of the product in one word i can say it's awesome...This music system u feel really this ultimate for this price. PROs 1.This home theatre has different modes like cinema DSP,music enhancer,virtual cinema etc. 2.This receiver supports all format of the video and audio. 3. 4K dolby audio and DTS HD supports. 4. ECO mode of operation for less power consumption. 5.clean and crisply powerful bass from subhoofer. -ve 1.the receiver does not have USB ( no prob we can use it in TV or any Bluray system ). 2.Also it does not have wireless connectivity option inbuilt ( if u want need to buy logitech blutooth adapter ) i have not tried yet. 3.No Dolby atomos. For the trusted brands manufactures most of the system does not have the above options for this budget, so i reccomand the people those who are looking any systems in this price range,don't worry trust me u will satisfy 200%

The Amplifier doesn't last more than a year.

Absolutely in this price segment it is a good product, But you need to set proper settings to feel dolby audio. My setup info: 1) I bought amazon basics 16 gage wire for all speakers & surround speakers mounts. 2) you need to tilt your both surround speaker to your side then only you will listen very small & accurate sounds on surround speakers. 3)use only surround decode mode to get get dolby audio other wise you will get dailogs & other sounds from all the speakers this will upset you 4)Upgrade to active sub woofer. You can use existing passive subwoofer in your car Note: if you need home theatre you need to reasearch about sound systems. My suggestion go to bose showroom ask them to play musin or movie sceens you will understand exact how dolby works. For this type of brands you need to setup proper settings then only you will feel exact dolby atmos sounds.

Here is my view after a year of usage Surround - 9/10 Bass - 6/10 (you can add active subwoofer) this mark is for the passive subwoofer the passive subwoofer is also good to get 10 marks. but you have to set it up in right place with all the tweaking. Better get a active subwoofer or build one 8/10 inch DIY subwoofer will cost around 7k to 10k build. So not a big thing to complaint. Low marks only for the headache of setup Features - 8/10 Input and output ports - 9/10 Quality - 10/10 I have played 7.1 atmos/dts x through my bluray player even that too is playing. For me it does the job and it is more satisfying. Compared to audio songs experience. movie experience is extraordinary. You will be immersed into the movie. Jus go for it if you are looking for a proper 5.1 setup. I stopped going to theatre after this setup. I see that price has been hiked a lot. Better wait for the sale Note : there is a dynamic wattage support for only front left and right channels that will go to 150w max with 6/4/2ohms for adding tower speakers rest all channels are 6ohms 100w. supports dolby vision as well as HDR

It's sounds reality, truest home theater, music ( mode) functions awsome, all options beyond smarter. ( i uses 2 subwoofer.) !! Bravo Yamaha.!! Thankful Amazon to give me. 🤝😍
