I use this activated carbon for my fish tank filters. the package arrived quickly however the bag containing the carbon was ripped (possibility during transport). I had to wash the carbon quite thoroughly to removed most of the black water (which is to be expected). the carbon is of a good quality however some pieces are much longer than i expected, so i had to do a fair bit of manual crushing.

used in pond filter and waterfall box. Rinsed a couple of times in rainwater. Still quite black residue however it did not leach into pond. All good. Am hopeful it will add to water quality in wildlife pond. Am hoping it will improve the odour in summer.

Didn’t see any benefits, bad was split but seller was fair with a small refund. Seller is good but the carbon didn’t fix my water issue. So not sure it had the benefits I needed.

I used this for my cooker hood air filter as a replacement medium it works well.

🤫I bought this product for my pet water filter, I dont have fish!🤔 I was careful in my choice & took me a little while looking before I bought this product. I've taken pictures just in case anyone else is thinking about it😉 Activated Carbon is Activated Carbon. On the left is the bought product & on the right in the filter & is original product almost identical! simply rinsed small amount of carbon several times to wash out the black dust I actually put it into small airtight container & shook that gently, opened up filter & replace old with fresh carbon. I had black residue from an original filter, but this washed correctly its perfect & I had none. Dont be put off I'd been think about it for a while & found something recommendable Can buy Polyfine or Cotton Fleece separately & cut to size but find the thin sheets or buy fish type filter fleece. Another saving I rinsed my original out to begin with also😆 picture of & I was able to devided I will take pictures to demonstrate. Can refill cartridge with extra carbon then in original filter to begin with of which there not much to begin with. Making a substantial saving in the long run I bought the BIG bag & is better for the environment as it saves on throwing the plastic cartridges away reusing them & recycling in a way that save you money! This will work for most cat or dog water fountains washed correctly, that use disposable cartridge filters like the ones in picture ones that can be dismantled. Used this to refill my carbon filters on cooker hood, messy but worth it in the end.

Great for aquarium filter, and much better to use than fine charcoal chips.
