I've always left Pokémon and receiving this. And the way it looked, it was very beautiful.I love the design. It looks almost exactly like the original Pokémon edition gameboy color.

Had no issues installing the new shell. Looks great next to my SP

The media could not be loaded. Overall, this is pretty nice, but you are not getting anywhere near the quality of the original. The plastic is definitely not as nice. Some spots there are thin tear away strands, which might be from not having enough time to cure. The buttons also don't have as deep of wells for the button pads, particularly the arrow keysUse as many of the original parts as possible! With light I can litterly see through the bottom of the included power switch. The back metal plate also has some weird scratch right along the top bend, which might just be paint. It's not on the original gameboy, I've included a photo of that.There are some areas that are hard to fit together, but if you screw it in tight, it's not a problem. Just not to tight or the power button is hard to move.There is also no adhesive included for the actual screen. The cover (with the images) has some but the internal screen does not. So it can easily move around while your installing. It's a bit hard to see, but i have a photo of the original next to this shell. You can see the original internal adhesive for the screen.Pay close attention to installing the buttons. If not done right they don't always work.Over all, it's pretty nice, but don't expect top quality

Bought this case since it was my first gameboy and the price for an actual one is too damn high. This was my first time on a shell swap but ive seen countless of videos on youtube specifically retro future (very funny dude knows his stuff and explains everything btw 100% reccomend). After following along one of his videos i did come to some trouble nothing too bad though! The trouble was the original gameboy screws were actually not fitting in so i had to use the screws that it came with. Again not bad at all but i wanted to use the original screws. Other than that everything was simple and easy!!Now Ill be ordering an ips screen off retromod! Good luck to the people that want to try and the only real thing you need to be careful with is the ribbon cable!!!

my boyfriends was redoing and old game boy to display in his collection, this was the perfect shell.

Bought this to re-shell an old pink gameboy color a friend gave me.Ended up ordering 2 of these.The first came with 2 deep scratches in the center of the shell and a bent screwdriver.The second had scratches on the buttons.Shell fits together pretty well but needed a little force to tighten it properly.Another issue which won't bother most people, is that the IR panel in this kit is a solid coloured plastic piece instead of a transparent black/lens, so I ended up using the original IR Panel from my GBC.The included start/select buttons also feel a bit short but work fine.Be sure to inspect the quality of everything before assembling your Gameboy!Heads of the screwdrivers strip very easily but I already had a better set to work with.Overall, it is a simple project piece for anyone who is used to working with electronics.Not a bad starting point for someone who wants to begin tinkering with custom parts.I am pretty satisfied with the end result but disappointed by the different defects found in both shells.

All I can say give it a zero horrible, horrible quality
