This is the greatest salad spinner I've ever used
This is the greatest salad spinner I've ever used. I don't know if they make a bigger size but I needed a new one fast, and someone recommended this one. Yeah I have to do 3 spins to get all my greens done, but it is so sturdy and easy to use. it really doesn't make that much of a difference. ALSO with that in mind it takes up much less room in the pantry. This is the 6th spinner I've owned and I think it will last a long time. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Great but potentially fragile
Sad to say that the catch on my spinner broke shortly after I'd bought it but beyond the return policy. While it worked it was great, OK for 1 or 2 person salads, but not really big enough for a family.Spinner gears held up well and the spin action is strong. It does the job, just a shame the catch on mine failed at the thinnest point of the plastic molding.

A highly recommended improvement over our larger spinner
I bought this for the family (lunch) salad fan, who had recently started spinning greens and then keeping them in the refrigerator in our larger string-powered spinner, taking up way too much of that valuable real estate. The design of this one is definitely superior, from the anti-skid bumpers on the bottom to the dishwasher-safe parts (except the external part of the spinner, which I rinse with very hot water, since it never comes in contact with the food), to the efficient crank mechanism, to its locking lid with pour filter, to, of course, for us, anyway, its smaller footprint. A great little appliance.

Excellent spinner marred only by a tiny design flaw
This spinner is excellent. IT is perfectly balanced and goes really fast, so the greens get quite dry. Unfortunately, there's a design flaw that forces me to knock off a star. The pivot point is sharp, and the basket is plastic, so sufficient downward pressure on the basket will cause the pivot point to split the plastic of the basket. The first one arrived already split, so I had to return and replace it. (thank you Amazon.) The second one is still fine, but I'm being very careful when I use it. One careless move and I'll be looking for a replacment. Or some good glue. The pivot should be rounded a bit, or the plastic basket reinforced with a stainless insert, or something like that.

Just the right size
Just as described. Smaller than most I've seen but just right for me. Does the job and easy to store. No mechanical parts to break...you use arm strength to spin the container. Although the lid is NOT airtight you could certainly store your greens for the day after washing and spinning. I soak my greens in a dishpan, rinse a couple of times and then spin and put in bags similar to Debbie Meyer green bags...squeeze out as much air as possible. The instructions are kind of weird: Steps 1, 2 and 3 make sense. But #4 says: Turn the spinning wheel counter-clockwise for cleaning spinner cover, clockwise direction for affixing the spinner wheel. ??? I just rinsed all three pieces (outer container, inner basket and top) and let dry.

very sturdy little salad spinner
i had a collapsible salad spinner with the string puller before this one. it fell apart in just a couple of months, and i could never clean the string thoroughly. This thing is awesome, though. It's VERY sturdy, uses a handle instead of a string to pull it, and is the perfect size for just my husband and I. You can even add salad dressing into the little spout and spin it again (after spinning to clean) to distribute the dressing just right. It is an awesome little machine. I put it in the top rack and have had no issues with it going in the dishwasher.

Design flaw
The inner lid is designed to be removable for cleaning, but it separates from the cover every time the spinner is used. Since no other user has mentioned this flaw, I assume there was a recent design change. The screw is not long enough to lock the inner lid tightly to the cover. It's unfortunate because otherwise it is a good spinner.
