Good, but not waterproof
I have a couple Stormr jackets and I wanted to get some gloves that provided the same protection from the elements, I was hesitant to buy these because at the time they had no reviews but I took a chance on it due to my personal experience with the quality of the brand I had seen thus far. I was not let down, but honestly I was slightly thrown off. I expected, the gloves to be waterproof--though they did not say they were. That being said they have decent water resistance and when they do get wet they don't get cold like normal gloves and they also seemed to keep moisture off your hands much better than gloves I have become accustomed to. They are really nice quality and the sizing (on Stormr's website) is spot on. I used them to put up a large tent for a car in a downpour of rain and though they ended up soaked through my hands stayed warm in the cold weather (my guess was it was 45 degrees or less) they also kept there grip absurdly well and allowed my hand a full range of motion. Overall I am pleased with the product, though it is not water proof it still does its job and I am quite sure I can waterproof it with a spray if I wanted to due to the material.

Great for short periods of time if its cold, not waterproof
Not 100% waterproof. Great for checking the ice fishing lines, but not enough dexterity for setting up the traps initially or putting the bait on. But much better for me to have them on checking lines or pulling up a caught fish than barehands. Hands stay dry and therefore warmer than without. I used them to scoop some slush out of a hole when I didn’t have the scooper handy and water went through and then my hands were really cold. I can wear them under bigger gloves/mittens to stay warm when not checking lines.I wish they were 100% waterproof. I’m not expecting them to necessarily be warm because they are meant to be more dexterous, but waterproof would help. But great for use when checking lines and handling fish if you don’t want to use your barehands.

Okay, not waterproof though
They aren’t actually like water proof. They willKeep your hands warm for awhile though. Using them fishing though is kinda cumbersome as to how thick they are.

Excellent wet performance
My use case was for fishing right up to lake ice over in the fall, and ice out in the spring. This glove performs incredibly at keeping your hands warm and dry working in wet conditions, I'd estimate down to 20 degrees F.I used them fishing this past fall, and I was thoroughly impressed with not only how warm they kept my hands, but how much dexterity I retained with the gloves on. These gloves will be with my in the Spring on a trip to the Boundary Waters for sure.I've tried using them as winter gloves twice while snow blowing. The first time the temperature was around 20 degrees F, and they kept my hands warm. The second time was in temperatures lower than 10 degrees F and they did not keep my hands warm. Here is the thing though, my perception is that they are not designed as winter gloves (below freezing), so to expect performance in those conditions is not fair. That said, they did perform well in 20 degree F temperatures, which explains the five stars. The gloves exceeded my expectations.I like them so much I have purchased a pair as a gift for my fishing buddy.

Top shelf gloves for braided line protection.
If you throw braided line for plugging, whipping or popping without gloves for extended periods of time, sooner than later you'll be wishing you had gloves. These Stormr gloves are perfect for that purpose. The Kevlar tip does a great job protecting your finger.I would suggest getting the correct size that fits snug and push your hands webbing to webbing to take up any slack in the glove tips. The Kevlar does not grabb the braid. Nor does the seam of the stitching bulg out on the outside of the forefinger to hinder releasing the line. There is just enough sensitivity of the line on your finger to know its there. The palm of the gloves have exceptional grip on the rod and on the fish you land. The Velcro strap does a good job of closing around your wrist and keeping water and debris out. They are not waterproof, they are water resistant. I'm sure if you sprayed some waterproofing on it it would make a big difference like the kind they use for tents. These are the first pair I bought since switching to braid from mono. More than likely not my last pair either.I have no regrets buying these gloves and definitely would recommend these gloves to anyone. So much easier on the fingers.

Waterproof
Excellent gloves. Fit tight but good dexterity. Not good for extreme cold. Hands will sweat but then moisture will freeze. Otherwise ideal for ice fishing or other outdoor activities.
