If you have plenty of insulated lunch bags and don’t want to spend money on another bag, these blocks are for you. After my maternity leave, I needed to get something to store my pumped milk at work, but I didn’t want to buy yet another “lunch bag” just to use it for milk for a short period of time. I ended up ordering these blocks and they didn’t disappoint. They contain powdered gel which get activated once you fill them with water and solidify once frozen. You do not need to refill them with water, just pop them back in the freezer once you get home. They hold my milk at a safe cold temperatures for 12 hours, even without refrigeration. And they fit well in most of the medium sized lunch bags.

I did not like the powder inside and the fill line. It overflowed easily which is probably my own fault for not reading the description better. I thought it was just water to fill inside, but the powder makes it that gel like ice substance.

These would have been awesome if the first one I filled up had not leaked. I did follow the instructions completely but the lid didn't seem to want to screw on completely the right way. Because of this I did not fill up the second one and ended up returning which was a bummer. Assuming you get some that the lids screw on nicely, it's a great pair and I would have loved it for traveling with bottles.
