This might work well for what it's advertised for, so I only took off one star. I doubt the lid will last long though - I'm not a fan of a fabric covered lid that can't be easily cleaned - and how do I know the inside is food clean to begin with? But when firmly pushed down, the lid did go into place. It also arrived looking dusty and dirty, but a quick wipe with a damp cloth took care of that. It does have a lot of ridges though to collect dust if left sitting out or used for decorative purposes.What made it unusable for me is the size - way too small! I needed to know measurements, not ounces and had thought the given 5" package measurements were the size of the product, not the box it would arrive in. I wanted a ceramic jar to sit out and hold a cleaning brush and needed about 4" tall and wide. The actual size of the jar is about 3-1/2 tall, 3-3/4" in diameter at it's widest point; inside 2-3/4" deep; opening at the top is 2-1/8" in diameter and base is 2-1/2" in diameter. I hope sharing actual measurements here will help someone else know if it's actually large enough for your intended use or not.

I gave several of these for Christmas filled with tea and everyone loved them. They are exactly as they appear in the photos. My only hesitation is their ability to seal. It needs a bit of force to make the lid air tight. But it seems this will get better with use.

I have a few Japanese tea caddies. all hand made and I love them. I saw this and couldn't believe the price.Machine made but good quality. It is a good price!I find handmade items have more soul for me. So, I will probably go back to buying them. But, this is still good!

I thought it would be larger but it was still fine for my needs. It’s quite attractive, I keep coffee it it. It closes tightly but is easy to open. Coffee gets stale so a small amount is best on the counter. The rest I keep in the freezer.

I love the style and the color. Also I can store treats inside if I want to. But I love it for decorator purposes in my home. It is well made and the color is great.

Beautiful. Just as described. Great at keeping stuff inside dry! Be careful of the little decorative beads, though, mine broke pretty easily.

Has handmade look to it. Lid is secure - functional, not just pretty
