Stylish and Effective Solution for Hydrating Small Plants
This is a poor man's solution to the "easy plant" approach for plant watering/maintenance in that it uses a double-pot design to create a water reservoir without looking like it from the exterior. The two pots nest almost seamlessly together which makes it a little bit of a challenge to separate them, should you need to, once the inner pot is filled with soil+plant. The inner pot has a gravel container that's cling-wrapped and seated firmly inside for shipping, but if you flip it over and push through the drain holes, it pops out and you can then use the cling wrap to re-collect all of the gravel that would've been lost in transit were it not packaged that way. As others have mentioned, the water indicator window is small, and a little hard to tell for sure where the water level is actually at without getting very up close and personal to inspect. These are minor things that don't detract from the pot's core functionality and features though and it does an excellent job housing your more water-dependent plants and keeping them hydrated in between your scheduled waterings as the "self-watering" reservoir does double duty as an overflow/drip saucer to hold and recycle whatever drains out from the top-down regular watering. Just be measured in how much water you add as the plug on the bottom for drainage is very difficult to remove should you overfill it and have concerns of drowning your plant baby in the process.

Disappointing
I was very excited to get a self watering plant pot. It is a lovely color and I was so anxious to put it to use, but there was a problem. There is a disk in the bottom of the pot to help with water distribution. It is wrapped in plastic wrap that needs to be removed. The problem is I cannot get the disk out of the pot. There was a very tiny sticker in the pot explaining how to use the pot so I sent them an email asking how to remove this disk. They have not responded yet. Without the wrapping being removed from the disk, the water cannot reach the plant. Very frustrating!!

Nice Looking Pot
The cartridge... people, please stop digging it out and scratching the inside of the pot. That will only lead to potential damage. Turn it over, get a flat head screwdriver and a hammer, and GENTLY tap each hole a few times until the cartridge releases. The pot is thin and therefore lightweight. That makes it good for hanging by reducing overall weight once dirt and water are in. Only time will tell if it's sturdy enough to last and not crack or break.I'm on the fence about the claimed self-watering aspect. It seems like a terrarium type setup. I'll let you know in a week if the gravel actually keeps the dirt moist.I would advise that you take the plug out and really water it good after planting, until the water runs out of the hole. It took 65 ounces for mine to start draining. I then tipped the plant to let more water run out, until the window showed that the reservoir was 3/4 full. I put the plug back in then. This all hinges on top watering of course, in order to get water into the bottom, which I'm not a fan of. I was looking for a way to have the plant hanging and being able to water from a large bottom saucer, but had trouble finding one, so I figured I'd try this. We'll see.

Pretty and functional
Ideal built-in drainage system, lightweight but sturdy too.

Effective and aesthetic without breaking the bank
Like: Modern, sleek design looks much more expensive than it is. Effectively waters plants and has a tiny window for water level indication. Holds plenty of water and doesn’t leave any openings to standing water like most self-watering planters, which helps prevent fungus gnats.Dislike: Getting the reservoir to separate from the outside pot is the most frustrating thing in the world unless you have another person to help you hold the bottom while you pull the reservoir out.

Excellent support!!! Already purchased more than x20 items. In some cases there was a leakage, but item was replaced w/o any charge. Going to buy at least x10 more!!!

Works Exactly Like it is Supposed to!
This keeps my plants watered perfectly - even when it is 120 degrees outside they can keep watered and look great!

Okay pot -- with a drainage cartridge that's impossible to remove! Wouldn't buy again.
Overall, the pot is meh. It's not a bad pot -- just nothing great. Looks like a cheap plastic pot and doesn't work for what I wanted to plant in it because the base is quite small in diameter. I'll use it for something IF I can ever get the drainage cartridge out of the pot! I tried all suggestions posted here and they didn't work. I tried pushing through the holes on the bottom, I tried pulling from the top while pushing from the bottom, and I tried prying with a knife. So far I have managed to get the plastic off the top of the cartridge and the contents are now scattered. It feels like it is GLUED IN -- WHY??? I will probably end up breaking the plastic cartridge by the time I finally get it out. And what is inside of the cartridge? No where do I see that info and whether or not it needs to or can be replaced. Would NOT buy again or recommend due to the frustration!

Maceta de calidad promedio
Pedi dos macetas, una llego toda abollada, deformada, aplastada, la otra llego intacta. Si la protegieran mas para el envio llegarian bien. Calidad promedio, no esperes una super maceta, esta bien por el precio.
