Comie 995D SMD 2in1 Soldering Station Hot Air Iron Gun Rework Welder Digital Adjustable LCD Display

I recently purchased the 995D and when set to 896 F the tip only gets to around 300 F. I have been soldering for a couple decades now and this station is only useful for SMT, as it took way too long to extract a small through hole capacitor out and am unable to heat the via up enough to replace it.Did i receive a faulty unit or is around 300 degrees F what is to be expected from this unit.
