Quick and easy
Perfect for what I needed. I was able to use a gooseneck pliers/vice to secure the clamp. No need for a table vice, chisel etc. Simple and quick. Perfect

Great clamping force
Bought these to link two ends of rope together. They worked out great. Nice quality at a fair price

I got it to work for my purposes
I'm making dog leashes from old climbing rope and using this to close the loops on each end of the leash. They work, but it does take some practice to make sure the rope clamp has purchase in the rope and that no slip occurs. One of my first efforts required two clamps to get the job done. But if you apply yourself, these will get the job done. I then applied heat shrink tubing over the clamps to add a nice finish to the job. I gave four stars because it is not a complete no-skill, no-brainer application, but it's close.

Working well for DIY dog leash
I purchased these rope connectors to make my own dog leashes and leads from a retired climbing rope. The rope I used is 10.2mm in diameter, which worked well within the size of the clamps. I canโt speak to the longevity of the stainless steel from a long term perspective, but each piece felt solid and was well formed. There were no mid-formed pieces, nor were there any sharp edges. In order to close the clamp around the rope, I used a combination of a bench vise as well as a hammer to help close the clamp on the rope, as well as to overlap the opposing sides. After the clamp was fully closed, I used 1.25โ (free state) 3:1 shrink tubing with an adhesive inside. Long story short, I expect the climbing rope to fail long before this hardware.

Easy to Use, Forms a Strong Grip
At first I thought these were somewhat flimsy, but once they are bent into place and squeezed MODERATELY tightly with a vise, they are VERY strong and reliable. I'm highly satisfied.

Maybe good for something besides the intended use
In theory, these seem like good heavy duty rope clamps. I'm using them to make dog leashes from climbing rope. The 3 star review is because these clamps only have the grip/spike bit that keeps the rope from sliding out in the very center of the clamp. If you are clamping 2 lines of rope, the spikes sit in between the two and don't grip either piece of rope. So even with these clamped tight on the correct size rope, any decent amount of force will cause the rope to pull through. If this isn't a concern for you, then these seem like they are good quality. But if they are installed as they are designed to be, they are useless. For me, it was a waste of money and I'm now looking for other clamps to order.

Work great
Never used these till now, they work great. Simple to use and look neat and tidy. Worked great on nylon rope that typically is hard to tie a clean knot with.

Great solution to braided rope issues.
I bought these to secure my boat bumbers that came in extremely long. So with a few tools and about 15 minutes I have perfectly measured bumper ropes. The vice grips to clamp them in three stages of tightness. Then electrical tape and a propane torch to finish the rope ends. See photos for tools used
