as expected aside from not being green
I didn’t mind it being orange though, nice color, great price, perfect to place on my neck pillow and get some pain relief

It is helpful for back pain
I wasn’t really sure how to use this applicator pad until I hit on the idea of running the instructions (all in Ukrainian) through a translator. I have included most of the translated pages here- I can’t vouch for their accuracy though. I get a lot of benefit from acupuncture and I find this pad to have some similar sensations although you are obviously doing something different as it’s just a random application of many many plastic teeth to your skin that don’t break the surface or run along meridians. I do find it helpful for reducing muscle tension and pain, however. There is quite a lot of pain at first but after a few minutes it is more of a warm tingling sensation and you can move around/flex your muscles and joints to increase the sensation. I have only used it on my bed, it suggests working your way up to a hard surface but I’m pretty happy with the way it works on a bed. The round needle teeth are glued onto the fabric pad so I’m not sure how well it will stand up to continued use. I wouldn’t share this item with others, it seems like a personal use item to be utilized after showering as you are supposed to use it on bare skin.

Ease way to control pain
This is a must have thing for everyone. This is acupuncture at its best. Headache and muscle pain and back pain go away: just press this mat against the area you fill discomfort. I use it for more than 25 years! I have it in my travel bag.

don't know if I'm using it right
This is the first mat like this I've owned, and it seems smaller and floppier than I expected, but does feel about how I expected. I appreciate how it feels on my feet, so have been placing it under them for various periods of time while I sit and work, and they feel good afterward, but I haven't noticed any intense improvement in pain or tiredness as a result. But then, I have no idea whether I'm using it right or not. The instructions are entirely in a language using the Cyrillic alphabet, perhaps Russian or Ukranian, so I can only guess that I'm using it in the way I think is correct.

No English instructions
This is a small acupuncture style mat you can place on different parts of the body that you feel pain in. I’m not 100 percent sure if I’m using it correctly bc the instructions are not in English but I think I get the idea. I got this to help with headaches/migraines I tend to get often. I think there is also a learning curve to this not only on how to use this but also how much pressure to put onto the body. I do find it a little bit painful at first but eventually it feels almost numb and this has taken the edge off when I have a bad migraine. I lay it on my pillow and then lay my head (where it hurts the most) onto the mat. It’s definitely not like real acupuncture but I believe it still has some effects. As far as the instructions go, I’m sure you can have it translated somewhere but I just looked up a video on how to use a mat similar to this one.

Portable accupressure mat for pain relief
I will start by saying that accupressure mat's aren't for everyone. Some people can't handle the sharpness of the mat on their body. My husband couldn't handle the sharpness of the mat even through his clothing. I would recommend using the mat over your clothing. I own a larger sized accupressure mat that I am able to lay my entire body down on, so I knew what to expect when I received this mat. This smaller mat functions and feels the same as my larger mat. I personally enjoy the feeling of the sharp edges on the areas of my body where I'm experiencing pain and tension. I feel a sense of temporary tension and stress relief as well as pain relief while using this mat. This mat is smaller in size, which makes it portable and easy to move to targeted areas on the body such as neck, shoulders, areas on the back, etc. I like to use this mat while I am relaxing and watching something at night. I will start with the mat near my lower head and neck, and then about every 3-5 minutes I move it down slowly where I end up to my lower back. If you keep the mat in place for too long it can get uncomfortable, so that's why I move it periodically. This mat seems to be of decent quality and that one could use it for a decent amount of time before it breaks. I am happy with the functionality of this mat. This mat does not come with any English instructions, but you could always look online for acupressure points and the appropriate use of this mat.

provides stimulation, a bit flimsy
I'm not sure I'm using this mat properly - as others have mentioned, there are no English language instructions included - but was able to find some youtube videos with similar products demonstrated. I tried it on my feet and then the backs of my thighs and found it seemed to help stimulate blood flow. My thighs in particular (I sat with the mat under one thigh at a time for about 10-15 minutes each) felt pretty good after use, though it is sharp / uncomfortable at first. I'll probably keep using it for recovery after spinning sessions. Might have found a new therapeutic option, we'll see about that.
