Long review alert w/positive updates!! My autistic preschooler is almost 4 and was diagnosed with encopresis due to withholding. He’s chronically constipated because he’s scared to poop, so his doctor recommended Miralax. We tried it for awhile, but all it did was make his stool very watery, smelly, and he leaked even more. I joined support groups online, and so many parents and doctors recommended Calm. Seeing as he’s very picky, I went with the unflavored formula.We haven’t done a full clean out using this stuff yet, but I know it’s possible to do it with Calm instead of Miralax. He’s currently getting 3-5x/his weight in milligrams of Calm, along with 1-2 squares of Exlax chocolates in the evenings. He’s finally going normally!!! He told me it’s easier to go and not as scary. He’s had ZERO accidents like he did with a capful of Miralax a night, and no panic attacks when he feels the urge to push.I give it to him in the evening. I haven’t noticed as many huge meltdowns during the day since starting it, which is awesome. He’s also sleeping better and having less nightmares. He’s still having growing pains, so I use magnesium oil on his feet at night.MAKE SURE TO READ THE DIRECTIONS!! It has to be mixed with warm water in order to fizz up and become magnesium citrate. I had to increase his dose to 5x his weight (he gets a full teaspoon now), but he said his milk tasted sour. Now I do half at night, half in the morning. Same positive results.I highly recommend it if your kiddo has encopresis. Hope this helps! ☺️UPDATE: We just did a 4 day clean out using PediaLax liquid softener & exlax for the first couple days, then Calm & Exlax. It worked wonders!!! He’s on a maintenance dose of calm now, and pooping regularly.UPDATE #2: here’s a side effect I wasn’t aware of: Hair growth! My son has been taking this for about 2 months now. His barber noticed a dramatic change in his hair. It’s thicker & grew in faster. She said it’s the magnesium! His nails are also growing quicker. I just started taking the adult dose about 3 weeks ago in hopes it helps my thinning hair. I’m not noticing much relief as far as constipation goes, but I’m way less moody and sleeping better. I mix two tsp in warm water (about 8 oz) then add ice cubes & it tastes like lemon water. This stuff is magic. ✨

I've struggled with anxiety issues throughout life, and I'm now a 21 year old adult male and I found this product to work like no other.. It's a powder you put in a drink, works best with hot water, and it really helps chill me out. I get the unflavored stuff, which already has a slight citrus tang to it, but there are many flavors as well and I've tried a few. Goes good with stuff like tea, honey and apple cider vinegar, I add chia seeds to it as well sometimes. I'd highly recommend as it is a magnesium supplement that apparently has high absorption and from my experience I can truly FEEL.. Within minutes too! :) I've taken other forms of Magnesium, like Magnesium oxide in pill form, and didn't notice any effects, this however, really works. This is honestly, easily the most noticeably effective supplement I've ever taken.. I bought a 16oz about three months ago, and I've taken it every night, save for less than five nights I might've skipped over the months, and I just restocked because I'm just now running low. Admittedly, I due take a smaller dose than recommended but that just goes to show how great this stuff is.. A half dose or so before bed every night, does wonders. There are many factors in life, but since I started taking this, I don't really have anxiety attacks, I don't really freak out, I just roll with my life, even when it gets hard. It's not that I don't care about stressors, I just don't freak out so much when they come up. It's like this supplement has helped inject reason and realism into me when I reach a struggle, and thus it makes those struggles less of a struggle. Like I mentioned earlier, I only take it once a day, before bed, and it seems to have lasting effects that help with brain function and anxiety levels, it's only the immediate effects that are strong enough to make me chill into a sleep, but overall I'd say it helps me become more of the functional human I'd like to be. This is the second time that I have bought this magnesium. It does help greatly with getting to sleep and sleeping well through the night. Does not leave me groggy if I have to wake up in the middle of the night. And no leg cramps of any kind! The reason for a Foor is that the second one tasted nothing like the first one. I enjoyed the first one immensely as had like a lemony flavor to it, but this one has no flavor. So not liking it as much for that reason.

The citrus flavor makes this supplement refreshing and still works. It supplies the appropriate amount of magnesium needed to help with digestion, bloating and inflammation.

This stuff is AMAZING and truly a life changer! I have struggled with very tight muscles for years now and they just never feel like they can relax...Even after a massage, my muscles will feel relaxed for an hour but always go right back to feeling tense/tight. I started using this product along with a brief daily yoga practice and I feel like it’s made a world of a difference! While the yoga has definitely contributed to this, I have also used this product alone/without yoga and can definitely say that it works on its own.On top of feeling a change with muscle tension (most likely due to a magnesium deficiency), it also has improved my sleep and I am more calm whenever I use it. It is a mild change so don’t expect it to work like how taking a benzo would, but it’s definitely a noticeable change. I would highly recommend this product and it is one of the few supplements that I have tried that I plan on sticking to because of the improvement I’ve noticed with how my body feels, quality of sleep and in turn....the overall quality of my life!The taste doesn’t bother me and it has an effervescent and slightly tart taste...not the best flavor in the world but certainly something that I don’t mind and can easily stomach. Speaking of stomachs...I feel like this even tends to help my stomach when I’m feeling a little queasy (I have a sensitive stomach and there are times I get a little queasy/nauseated).Can’t say enough good things about this which is saying a lot because I am not a person who is big on supplements (I can barely remember to take medication on a daily basis!). Sooo...did me to incorporate something as part of my daily life is saying A LOT!

I've tried many products for stress. This one is tops in helping me cope with stress. I also use this when I'm sick to take the edge off feeling yucky. It doesn't put me to sleep like it does for others in my family but it relaxes me and also helps me "go" on the days I'm "plugged" up. This is a high quality product from Natural Vitality. I do wished Natural Vitality continued selling its unflavored packets to use on the go. I add this to hot water or hot cocoa; you may find this tastes better in juice or you may prefer the flavored powder or gummies. I'm very glad Amazon has resumed selling this. I can't get by without it. Keep up the great work, Natural Vitality!
