Great knife and very useful. The only problem is I keep losing them.

This is my first Swiss-made pocket knife, and I can already see why they're so highly regarded. There's nothing like Swiss quality. The Huntsman feels sturdy, the tools open smoothly, and everything is well made. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I'll tell you this.This tool is awesome.It's so good.I literally bought 11 of them.I have 1 for each of my bug out bags, and I gave out three more as gifts great price, an original Swiss army knife. Not a copy, not an imitation. I highly recommend this multitool, if you're a bit of a survivalist and a camper likes to go camping hiking, you need this in your backpack. If Amazon can get you one intact, then this Victorinox Huntsman is excellent. Victorinox never disappoints. Very durable and versatile knives. I have ordered two of these Huntsmans; one for me and one for a gift. One got here intact and was packaged in a box with some padding. I have already been using that one, so I can't gift it. The other one was packaged in a paper envelope with zero padding and was crushed, both scales broken and the knife is slightly twisted. You can't see the twist in the pictures as it is slight, but you can see parts of where the scales are broken. It takes quite a bit of force to damage a Victorinox like this one is; so what exactly happened to it in shipping? A replacement is supposedly being sent. I will update when the replacement gets here. Good thing I opened it to check it. The bad part, I needed this for Nov. 27, '23, for a 75th birthday gift, but the replacement will not be here until at least Nov. 30, '23. 1. I'm going to be the only person at this celebration without a gift. 2. I will have to drive a four hour round trip a second time to deliver the gift in person when/if an intact Victorinox Huntsman gets to me. Strong suggestion to Amazon. Stop using ridiculously poor packaging for items that can be broken in shipping. This isn't the first time I have had to return items for replacement because of shipping damage due to Amazon's poor packaging. I have to drive 30 minutes just to take a return to the UPS drop off. Package stuff properly to begin with and it saves everyone (including Amazon) money and time.

Finally Amazon got my order correct after the 3rd time. Not all of these knives have the same number of accessories. Very nice quality knife

what's not to like about a victorinox swiss army knife? it's a great first knife (or anytime knife, for that matter). here are some reasons i chose this knife for my kids' first knife. 1. no locking blade. this might sound counter-intuitive, but i want my kids to learn to use a knife correctly without the false sense of security provided by a lock that can fail. if they learn on a knife without a lock, they will learn to use a knife carefully and correctly. 2. this model has the minimum requirements for outdoors fun. i wanted to make sure they at least had a blade, wood saw, awl, and tweezers. there are plenty of models that contain these tools, but i'll specify why this model next. 3. scissors. personally, i prefer swiss army knives without scissors. i would rather just use the blade to cut most things or a real pair of scissors to cut paper. however, since this is a first pocket knife, i would rather my kids have the option of using scissors instead of a blade whenever possible and whenever safer. for example, if there is a string that needs to be cut on mine or someone else's clothing, i am confident enough to just use my blade. if my kids are trying to take care of the same job, i'd prefer they use the scissors because it is safer. 4. the multiple tools vs. a single blade. i love that i can teach my kids many uses of this knife. instead of just teaching them how to use a knife, i can use this knife to teach them survival skills that could save their lives. 5. it's red. the color makes the knife easy to find if you accidentally drop it. 6. it's nice and wide without being too big for their hands. i prefer a slimmer knife for my edc (if i carry a sak, i carry the camper model), but this model is the perfect size to fill a kid's hand and give them good purchase and security while in use. 7. corkscrew. my kids all wear glasses and the corkscrew can hold a mini screwdriver to adjust eyeglasses. it also works great to get into difficult knots to help you untie. 8. sandvik steel. this steel is pretty soft for an every day knife. well, for modern knives... it was fine for our grandparents. anyway, softer steel is easier to sharpen, which means it will be easier for them to learn to sharpen a knife. it is also stainless, which is important where we live. this steel makes for a knife that is perfect for learning to maintain a knife properly. i could probably keep going, but it's not necessary. this is a great knife for a young person to learn with. it's also a great knife for anyone that might need the features it has. my hope is that my kids will learn to use all of these tools. when they ultimately choose higher quality knives in the future, i'm sure they will still keep these close by for it's many useful features. the reason i'm rating this down one star is that it is not as versatile as victorinox can make it. for years, they have made scales that contain a slot for a ballpoint pen and straight pin. all models should contain these extra tools. every single model should come with the pen and pin and every model with a corkscrew should also include the eyeglass screwdriver. i don't understand not including all the tools possible. please start including them, victorinox.

O que dizer de um canivete suíço além de ser excelente, rsrs O modelo caçador é muito bom, as duas facas e a serra atendem bem um uso prático. A tesoura é para cortar linhas de costura ou papel. Os abridores de rolha, garrafa e lata atendem bem às emergências. Para quem não conhece um canivete suíço, ele não é usável em qualquer situação, não ache que vai usar a tesoura para cortar papelão, a serra para cortar ossos ou abrir facilmente uma rolha de vinho. Mas para o uso adequado, dentro das possibilidades de ferramentas pequenas que ele oferece, ele é muito bom.
