The spring tension is very weak and doesn't do much of anything unless you have big containers that fill the entire hole (which makes this thing pointless). I found one on Etsy that works way better.

This item doesn't provide enough tension to hold a common 16 oz bottle of water or a 12 oz can of soda. This might as well not exist and just wastes the space in your Tesla Model 3 cup holder.

I've seen others saying that the double sided tape is not strong enough, but it seems to be strong enough for my use.The strength of the springs on the flappy flaps is strong enough to hold cups in place, yet not so strong that it prevents using the cup holder for whatever random thing you might need it for.The only very small downside is that you lose that little space between the cup holders. I liked to stash stuff in that area, not realizing just how much I used it until it wasn't there. But that is a very small price to pay for having drinks firmly held within the cup holder.I definitely recommend this over the other things available to address this little quirk of the Model 3 and Y.

Initially I was pleased with look of the product. It was shiny like the rest of Tesla Model 3 console, but it was not flat on top as I would have expected. I placed it in the cup holder and parked the car outside at work. When I returned to the car later in the day, I noticed numerous stress cracks in the surface. One day in moderate sun and it was ruined.

I see a lot of mixed reviews which makes me think there's probably a pretty big variance in quality control.However mine arrived with no physical flaws and inserted PERFECTLY into the cup holder gap. The springs are strong and I powered into a few turns with a can of soda in there and noticed no shifting.Just the thickness of the 3M tape on mine made it slide firmly into place without even needing to peel off the cover over the sticky bit. I'd imagine this would be VERY sturdy if permanently adhered but with how firmly it stays in place just with the 3m tape cushion I'm impressed.Other comments on the finish/style matching the Model 3 "piano black" glossy center console are correct. It looks just like something that would come from the factory.I'm happy with this little guy.

Mine arrived and when I took it out of the plastic bag noticed the shiny gloss surface on one of the tension levers had flaked off and exposed the bare plastic, about 5mm in diameter. Could have sent it back as damaged, but since it was cheap will use it for now.

The product itself is great but they issue I had was with removal of the film to expose the sticky pad. It was so stuck to it that I nearly shredded the sticky pad trying to get it off. This was on both sides. Seems to work fine though.

does not hold it place with big cups. tried using tape on the side as a filler to help it hold. works a little better. should have an adjustment to lock it in place.
