Reliable, Easy-to-Use Watering Timer That Delivers Consistent Performance
I’ve been using the Orbit 62034 Mechanical Watering Hose Timers for a few years now, and they’ve proven to be an excellent, reliable choice for managing my yard and garden watering needs. I have one installed on each of the external faucets around my house, and they work perfectly. The timers are straightforward to set up and operate, making them incredibly convenient for a hassle-free watering experience. The build quality is solid, and they are durable enough to last for at least two summers with regular use. However, as with most plastic outdoor tools, they do degrade over time due to exposure to the elements. This means I’ll typically need to replace them after two years or so. One key thing I’ve learned is to always remove them before winter—if left out in freezing temperatures, they will crack and split, which is the only downside I’ve encountered.Overall, this is a great product for anyone looking for a simple and effective way to automate their garden watering. They’re very easy to use, and once installed, you can pretty much forget about them while your garden gets the care it needs. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to save time and effort when it comes to watering.

Worth the money!
I bought 3 of these a year ago despite some of the reviews left. They went through a blazing hot summer and a couple of hard freezes over the winter. I turned them on this spring and they are still working perfectly. One has developed a small drip. Overall I am pleased with these. They are timing and turning the water on and off exactly as I set them. I just purchased 3 more for the greenhouse and the watermelon patch.

Great! Easy to use. Makes watering a breeze!
I simply love having these. It saves me so much time having to go back and forth. Now I just wait for it to go off and move the sprinkler without needing to go turn off the water. I use it right next to the sprinkler so that I can control everything without making trips to the faucet. It's so much better! Also, it makes timing the water cycles a breeze. Why didn't I buy this sooner?! No batteries, no hassle. Just turn the knob. That's it! Highly recommend for all your needs. The only down side to this is that it is not a timer you can set to come on later. It is a timer you can set and then walk away from and the water will shut off when the time is expired. But it does that job amazingly well with no leaks. Love it!

Timed Sprinklers Are Great
This timer is pretty useful, especially if you have ADHD like me (I always forget to turn the water off). Just set it and walk away, no need to worry about it. The dial is big enough that it's easy to read even when it's wet or you're wearing gloves, which is nice. I think this thing might be made out of plastic though? It doesn't seem like metal anyway (I don't really know what it's made from but who cares right?). Anyway, the only downside is that sometimes I accidentally bump the dial and change the watering time, so double check it before you leave.Setting up this thing was pretty simple too. Just screw it onto your faucet and then attach your hose to it, like a normal adapter. The instructions were easy enough to follow (I skimmed them anyway). Overall, if you're looking for a timer that doesn't require batteries and is easy to use, this one will do the trick. Plus, it lets me go inside and forget about watering my plants without worrying about wasting water or overwatering them.

It's a good product it works as stated
Orbit is the standard mechanical hose timer. I've been using them for years and they do exactly what they're supposed to do. I've tried cheaper ones and was disappointed with their durability. And I've tried much more expensive ones and I was disappointed with their durability. I had three fully functioning ones last fall. One of which came from my last house. It must have been 5 or 10 years old, God knows, it was really faded. And then, like an idiot, I left all three out this last winter and they froze and cracked just like the instructions said they would. My fault, so I bought some more. The new ones look exactly like the old ones, they must have been making this identical model for 30 or 40 years. Well, I hope so, cuz you shouldn't try to fix what ain't broke. Two things to keep in mind: 1. They are tough, but plastic and it's possible to over-tighten hoses with metal threads. If a hose leaks at the joint when you tighten it firmly with your hand, don't tighten it further with pliers or a wrench. You need to replace the hose's rubber washer. And if you hook it directly to the faucet and jerk the hose hard, it is possible to break it at the neck. But if you treat them with a little respect, they will last for years. Oh, and one other thing: You shouldn't lay them on their side in sand or dirt because some of it can get underneath the twist knob and make it hard to twist. If you happen to do this, hold the hose right next to the slit at the bottom of the handle so you get high pressure water and it should wash the dirt out. (And, for your mechanically adept people out there, they have three real screws on their bottoms so you can actually take them apart. They aren't glued together like some others I've tried.)

Good for the price
Good for the price. Not terribly accurate but close enough. For just 15 minutes I usually have set is somewhere halfway between 15 and 30 min. Works plenty well enough if you are just trying to keep your sprinkler from continually running if you are busy with other tasks.
