Good shoes for speed and training but offer atrocious durability on unimproved surfaces
Pros: Speed, comfort, and weightCons: DurabilityThese are excellent running shoes in terms of speed, comfort, and weight. The pegs at the bottom stopped a long term heel strike problem, and helped increase my speed by building my calf muscles.The major flaw with these shoes are the durability on non-traditional surfaces. I had these shoes for less than 200 miles and used them for high speed training exercises and various races ranging from 5k to the half marathon. They performed with excellence, but the pegs on the bottom simply fell off. I loved the shoes so much that I bought another pair thinking it was a fluke, and now less than 150 miles into my training routine with these new shoes the pegs fell off during a run that included a couple miles on a trail.My recommendation: buy these shoes if you want a lightweight racing shoe that you have no intention on taking off a paved surface/track. Do not buy these shoes if you want them to last more than 200 miles on an unimproved surface.

great shoe
excellent fit, very light and comfortable. I use this for speed workouts on grass and also quick tempo runs on the treadmill.The lugs get a little time to get used to but after a while, can't tell they are there. Love the snug like glove fit and roomy toe-box.

Excellent product
Using these shoes I was able to run again after a week of strong pain in my calves. It supports the runner for perfect and smooth movements

Feel great
Based on reviews, I ordered a half size up.The fit is good. I've done a couple of 5k's and they feel great. Taking small runs to get used to the low drop and lugs. Pretty sure Newton has gained another fan.

These are my favorite Newton distance shoes. I wish I could still purchase them, but I can't find anyone still selling men's size 10 US
