After 1.5 weeks of wearing the product, I have already lost 1 inch off my waist. Everything that's said about it in terms of the positive is true. I went from a 33 inch to 32 inch waist in one week of usage. The rubber backing really gets the job done, nothing but pure sweat. The outer covering is really nice and smooth The waist trimmer adheres to your waist, regardless of the size. My waist is curvy like a hour glass so the waist trimmer curves along with it. While working out, the Velcro holds up, there's no slipping off or sliding down or coming apart (like many other velcro adhering products that I've experience), it stays right where you place it. As you adjust it to your preference it stays in place. Now depending on what exercise I'm doing at the fitness club, the trimmer may curl as I'm curling my lower bottom, however, as I straighten it straightens (naturally, right) back in place. I don't have to re-adjust it to my waist due to the adherence of the Velcro. The nature of the Velcro is very strong in its adherence properties. I personally wear it against my body to get the maximum affect, however, as you well now you can wear it over your fitness outfit and allow your clothes to absorb the sweat. The quality is pretty good for the price (it's not a cheap looking or feeling product) its sturdy and supportive of my lower back, which is very important due to my lower back disc herniation. I have already suggested this product to some of my patients and co-workers, simply because it really is an excellent product. In terms of cleaning it, I only clean the inner side, the rubber with soap and warm water with a towel, nothing fancy. I do this as soon as I get home because of the salt content in the sweat. Our sweat contains lots of salt so the trimmer is probably designed to eliminate the water and the salt from the body to maintain Homeostasis while working out. A sweat rate of 1 liter per hour would thus cause a salt loss of 27- 40 grams for a 12 hour workout without the trimmer, so you can imagine how much more you can loose with the waist trimmer, just keep taking in your water. So as you see you need to clean the trimmer after each work out because over time the salt will eventually damage the trimmer and you don't want that to happen. After cleaning just leave it open either flat or over the back of a chair or something like that, rubber side up. Don't believe all the negative responses, its just spoil individuals who expects perfection in everything. The price is right the product is awesome! Update 4-1-13 This is not an April Fool :). Just want to say that, I never stop using this product despite the fact that I stop going to the fitness club. I did the Insanity workout for 10weeks, changed my eating habits and lost 20lbs in the 10 weeks. I was not a hugh person from the beginning, however, I felt "fat" weighing in at 154 lbs which is almost proportionate to my height of 5'6". 20 years ago, I weighed 134lbs, so its like I gained a pound a year. Now, I'm back down to 134lbs and have maintain it now going on 3-4 months. No fad diets, just, drink as much water for a total cleanse, eat only serving sizes of your food, Snack on fruit and cut your carbs down to 1/4. You need carbs to burn for fuel. I went back to my size 6 from a size 10. Nothing special, if you can't do the insanity exercise as most people can't write to me and I'm give you exercises to do at home. I only went to the health club to work the muscles in my back because it use to hurt all the time, but the insanity workout help me tremendously. No more health clubs for me Save money. I've always had a small waste, but this waist trimmer helps in all areas of the body, despite the fact that I did loose inches in my waste, its now just a more curvy hour glass :).

Many similar products have a Velcro-hook connector the extends almost the entire width of the belt. So with these other inferior products, as main belt material stretches a bit to get pulled tight, or if the user connected it the slightest bit off-center, the overlapping hook side rubs uncomfortably against your body. With this product, the smaller more-than-adequate center flap with the Velcro-style-hooks connects to the outer belt and won't extend over the main belt width. Properly worn, it is sturdy. The sewing connection the flap to the main belt is thorough -- if you keep pulling on it as if you're in a contest to see who can stretch the product the tightest, no amount of stitching would survive -- so you wear it like a tight bandage, loose enough to allow movement. Used as directed, it is comfortable, does the job, and lasts till I'll buy the next one (which is usually about a year or so of daily use). The main material is heavy enough to last, not the cheaper thinner quality seen on other products that get stretched out with normal use in very short time period. And since stretching makes the middle belt areas thinner, on those other same-priced-but-not-as-good products it is another reason the Velcro hooks extend beyond the belt width onto the users body. I have used products like this during exercise for many years: by keeping heat & minimal pressure around my lower back and mid-drift, I reduce pain and keep from causing an injury, especially in exercise that works on muscles in those areas. In product quality and fit, this does what I need, it does what it should be expected to do, with a belt weight and design that is just right to the job. I'm continually amazed at the expectations or beliefs some people hold that this would provide some type of miracle alteration of human anatomy without diet or exercise. It is not a miracle weight loss device, since any weight loss in its use is regained by drinking water. The tight belt can exert some small pressure to stomach muscles for a small waist size reduction reduction if accompanied by diet and exercise. If worn like a girdle all day long under clothes -- which isn't too smart, since it isn't a material for long term underwear use -- your stomach will pop back when you take it off. It helps me exercise longer, or better, and the pressure on my gut reminds me to eat less, which is the real weight loss secret. For what I need, I have tried many variations and brands of different types. This does it best for me.

Having been cursed with a bad back is a bit like sailing with no wind - frustrating and really slows you down. I have found that back braces retard muscle development and overall create dependency. These neoprene belts offer a tactile feel of support, buty also warmth that keeps the muscles loose and limber. I have had several and really wanted something wider than the average belt (maybe 8"). This was the widest belt i could find, but is a little thinner that i would prefer. Another irritant is that the velcro closure is the full width of the belt, so often it could rub and irritate your skin if you are not careful. But for me being taller - i love the width. It covers my whole Lumbar spine and gives me a feeling of being together. I will be rebuying this product but hope they improve the closure and the thickness.

Well designed and made. Excellent quality. Fits well. I have been using it for about two weeks. It is too early to say if it works but I do see a slight improvement in the waist line. I would recommend this product as it is of excellent quality.
