I originally purchased the BALMUDA The Lantern (White) for camping, but it’s found an even better use at home—creating a cozy, calming atmosphere during bedtime reading with my 7-year-old son. The light quality is exceptional. The three modes—Candle, Amber, and Warm White—allow us to set just the right tone for winding down in the evening. The Candle mode in particular gives off a gentle flicker that adds a magical, camp-like feeling to our nighttime routine. The build is lightweight yet solid, and the minimalist design looks great anywhere. Battery life is strong, and the water-resistant construction gives it versatility for both indoor and outdoor use. It’s a beautifully made product that blends design and function seamlessly. Very satisfied, and now an essential part of our nightly ritual.

I thought this lantern was a bit pricey but I ended up loving it so much. It has a spectrum of color and brightness, all using one knob. I love that it is not remote controlled so there’s no chance of losing yet another tiny remote. It doesn’t take up as much space as a lamp does on a nightstand and works great as a reading light. It is light and the handle is also very ergonomic.

A bit pricey you could argue, but its a fine object, I love how it looks in my studio. The light resembles a candle in lower settings, The brighter one is warm and nice too. I recommend it, but you may be able to find something else that suits your budget. It looks delicate so handle with care.

Very pleased with this little lantern. A bit pricey; but you get what you pay for these days. It is immediately obvious when you unpack it how well it is made. The dimable feature is quite nice --- in fact it makes it much more functional and enjoyable . Wouldn't like it as much as I do if it did not have this feature. We shall see how it holds up. It may very well be worth the price --- but time will tell. I am probably going to order a second one. It has worked out very well in my outdoor sauna which has no electricity.

Loved the light, provided a pleasant glow. Now the reason for One Star, i would give it a negative 5 star rating if possible for the biggest failure, it’s battery. It lasted a year of use and recharge, and noticed it would not stay on as long as it use to. Then it became obvious after changing the battery it would last 5 minutes. No problem I thought, i will just contact Balmuda and see about purchasing a new battery as it was pass the one year warranty. Well 4 emails latter with the last one wanting the serial number, where purchased, a video recording of the lantern failing sto stay on so i called customer service, was greeted by a well spoken lady and she understood my problem but the final response was Balmuda does not have the license to sale or ship a battery but if my unit had the extended warranty i could ship my lantern to them and they would send me another one with a new battery! If not for their battery craziness about selling and ship (even though they send a unit with a battery in it) i would rate it a 5. So if you bought one just to let you know when the battery goes you can hack away at some sort of battery for it or just throw it away. Great business model Balmuda….

I'm mostly using it to journal in the evening before bed, or read out on my balcony and it's perfect because it's adjustable and doesn't need to be plugged into power. It has the warmth of a big bright candle but isn't dangerous, and the video on Amazon was really helpful, and is accurate to the product. I like the aesthetic, and the versatility of using it for checking on something in the middle of the night, or using it as ambiance during dinner.

I love this lamp, it was built with quality materials and great functionality. Beautiful design and robust construction.

中古もお値段が張るので半年以上考えた上で買いました。 デザインが美しく見ているだけでホッとします。

最初は調子に乗って色々な場所に持ち出して使用していましたが、結局寝室での使用に落ち着きました。 朧気に揺らめく光には、心を落ち着かせる作用があるのか、正直よくわかりませんが、完全に真っ暗な寝室に比べたら、随分過ごしやすいです。好きに光量を調整できるのが特にいい点ですね。 今では、我が家に欠かせない存在となりましたが、趣味アイテムであるのは間違いないですね。

スイッチ一つで電球色と白色をまかなえるところがとても使い勝手が良く、統一感のあるカラーリングはインテリアに馴染みます。 無骨さはありませんが可愛らしく温かみがあると思います。 バッテリーはニッケル水素、端子はマイクロUSBです。アダプターとケーブルは付属しているので買い揃える必要はありません。また、バッテリーは消耗品なので劣化しても交換ができます。自宅で交換できる仕組みなところが嬉しいポイントです。
