Clarifying Mouth Dropping Behavior
Good read - I am learning characteristics that I had not been aware were typical of someone who either does not connect or needs all the attention. Having a better understanding and seeing these behaviors written as normal for those who operate in life differently makes it easier to lower my expectations and protect myself from the pain of having those expectations thwarted. I can change where as all I can do is attempt to understand better another and this book is helping me do just that.

but this book reads more like a summary
Unfortunately, this book is poorly written, and you can find all the information in it online. You get the feeling the writer had an idea about what he wanted to say about anti-social personality disorders, but this book reads more like a summary. I would have done well to have heeded the warnings in the reviews. Not worth your time.

Great information and good read
Aside from a few errors in spelling throughout the book I actually thought it was a very good read. I have a family member that really struggles with a lot of topics in this book and it really helped me have a better understanding of it inside and out. Great information and good read. Thank you!

Great Info
This is great information for those in need! Sadly, one often doesn't know they need it until it's too late.

Subject matter discussed
The subject of sociopathy is very intriguing but the book size is about 50 pages and many of those are completely blank.

Terrible
I got to chapter two of this book and started looking for a way to get a refund. He starts so many of his 3-sentence paragraphs with "The thing is...", and then there are all the terrible spelling errors and other grammar disasters. I wonder if Gerald Thorne just made some of this book's content up, especially since there is no information about him in the book at all. If he actually is a psychologist or psychiatrist, then he should have been able to write a much higher quality book.If you really want to understand what a sociopath is, just read The Sociopath Next Door, by Martha Stout. She has an actual Ph.D. in clinical psychology and she has a full list of all her informational sources at the end.Do not waste your money on this book, "Understand Antisocial Personality Disorder".

Nope.
This book is a waste of your time. He has a very defeatist approach. I didn't find a glimmer of hope anywhere within it. It's very short and to the point, which is nice, but as someone who has been suffering from APD my whole life and wishing to cure myself of it, this book offers very little help. No positive vibes coming from this book, no positive feedback coming from me. Sorry Gerald.

Wow! very interesting
This was a very interesting and eye opening read on the mind of a sociopath. I have read not seen very many on this topic and I can honestly say that this is among the best written and most captivating -- the topic itself is interesting enough to hold up on its own. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in the psychology and behavior of a sociopath.

A good little guide to sociopaths
A good little guide to sociopaths. I was not informed about this personality disorder before, but this book gave me a great overview of the subject. It was insightful to understand sociopaths from their perspectives.

This book is very small and has no author
This book is more like a pamphlet. It doesn't even list an author. I was expecting someone with experience to write useful information. This book is a joke.
