UPDATE: It seems the damage my hair sustained after using this product was coincidental timing, and was likely damage from heat, not chemicals. I took a chance and tried it again - no problems. So I’m changing my stars to five. This product is actually super conditioning for a dye! And the color is fantastic! Looks much better as it’s fading than the brand I used previously. When my usual color product was out of stock, I gave this a try. At first, I loved it! Great color, and my hair felt conditioned as I rinsed it out. I have lots of gray, so have to dye at least every six weeks. When I used it again 6 weeks later it fried my bangs that I had been growing out for months. It now looks like badly crimped, ratted, and singed hair. My stylist said this is chemical damage, which I’ve never experienced before! It’s so gross. I had to cut a couple inches off my bangs but it’s still quite noticeable in the hair that frames my face. Be careful if you have curly hair! I won’t purchase this again.

I love this haircolor kit. I have not been able to color my hair in years, years. I am 53 and always colored my hair but suddenly for some reason haircolor would just fry my scalp. I could not use nost of them even the ones that had no ammonia. I did not give up my search. I have to color my hair now that I have a good amount of grey cominng in. Well I search high and low and have tried ones with no ammonia as I said before only having to wash it out in 10 minutes. Schwartzkopf made the perfect color kit. I read the reviews, ordered and hoped for the best. Let me tell you this goes on easily and covers well. I had absolutely ZERO scalp irritation upon application. I kept ot in for the recommended processing time and washed it out. Not only did I experience no scalp irritation at all, the color came out beautiful, covered every grey strand and looked absolutely beautiful. I have purcased and uesd twice now and will continue to do so Please please do not discontinue this product as it is the best I have found and seemingly the only one I can use. I love it. Thank you Schwartzkopf for making this and to Amazon for carrying it.

This color lasts!! I needed a lot of gray coverage and this does the job and well. It covers the grays and doesn't fade like other brands. My hair looks silky. The only down side for me is the smell. Its kind of an old smell but the conditioner that comes with it counteracts most of it. I almost didn't buy it again because of the smell but found if I use the included conditioner the first few washes, it helps tremendously. It does make my head itchy but that doesn't outweighs the benefits. I also have sensitive skin.

Let me begin by I absolutely hate applying hair color and I tried to never do it. I have very thick hair I have a lot of it even though it's barely shoulder length it's just so The good thing about this it doesn't dye my skin and I am somebody who my skin absorbs the color even better than the hair root does. But with this very delicate line it doesn't ever I don't have to hurry up and wipe it off I've left it on a few times with the eyebrows there's no ring around the skin it's very impressive. My girl is the best and she has been using schwartzkopf color on my hair for about 15 years but when I can't get into see her I tried other brands but I find this to be absolutely fantastic. It's close to the multicolors she mixes to create my salon color ( she used 2+ colors) It's also the same brand so that helps. But I recommend it because I do have very difficult to take silvers and gray and I always did I was premature gray around 21,22 yrs old My mom my brothers as well, I didn't have any issues I see people writing about I also have a skin condition It doesn't irritate it I do leave it on for about 25 minutes I find it to match the color fantastic it doesn't wash out more than anything else that's such a weird thing that people get into but that comes down to your water more even so than your shampoo. Give it a try I definitely recommend this line. But most hair colors in a box are really just for in betweens from seeing a stylist you can't expect high high results you have to see your stylist and then this is something to get you in between and help save money. For roots touch-ups this is the thing.

I tried this product after reading the reviews. The color was nice and the product smelled good however it did not last. My grays came through right away.

I am allergic to a lot of hair dye products. I would sometimes suffer for up to a week after getting my hair dyed at the salon. A year or so ago I finally was at a new salon where the dye was not bothering me, then COVID hit and I didn't want to go into the salon. I have a friend who is allergic, like me, and she tried this product and said she couldn't believe that she didn't itch from it at all. Not a tiny bit. She's had ER visits and courses of steroids from hair dye reactions to other products so for her to not have any itching at all was impressive. She convinced me to try it. My hair was getting really gray after several months of not coloring it. Not only did it not itch or stir up my allergies, it covered my gray amazingly and looks very natural except in a few areas that I think only I notice.

This is the best hair color I’ve ever used! I usually go for cheaper products or well known brands that are on sale. This time I decided to purchase based on the product itself. No ammonia. Gray covered. Long lasting color. I love it so far. Did not dry my hair out. Colored the gray on my edges which is usually stubborn. I have what some people call 4C hair that’s very porous. It is very course and thick. When blown out for braids, my hair is about medium length. I used 2 boxes like I always do with any other brand because one isn’t enough. Will be buying again when it’s time to color.
