Maybe about three feet. I'm six feet tall, and I don't have to stoop or bend at all to ride.

Why wont the brakes work? Set mine up and they seem to have no stopping power

Might want to check if the brake cable is installed correctly. When I set mine up, I had problems with the brake until I set it up per the instructions.
