Saved me the first week after having our baby
If you’re having a baby vaginally, you need this. I didn’t think I’d actually use it but sitting on the sofa or in the car after giving birth and having stitches is so painful. I ordered this after giving birth, this time around I’m having it ready for the drive home from the hospital

Great concept, poor execution- overpriced/non returnable
The idea of this product is great! It’s supposed to auto inflate, (spoiler alert, it doesn’t.) ice pack to help soothe, it’s a great idea. But sadly it doesn’t actually work. The “auto-inflate” feature is a cushion inside.. idk how that’s supposed to fill to full capacity. Never worked for me. I have to blow it up with my mouth. Which is difficult because of the design of the cap, it is doable though. It also doesn’t hold air for more than 20 minutes before I have to blow it up again. And 20 minutes is being generous on the time frame. (Yes I saw the reviews saying “blow it up 3 times first and after that, it should auto inflate. Doesn’t work. I’ve had it since December 29th.. it’s January 8th.. if it were gonna auto inflate by now I think it would have already.)The only good thing is the ice pack. I wore adult diapers because… it’s easier. I put the ice pack in the freezer for a few hours, and put it in the pillow and I could feel the cold sensation through the diaper. It is nice. The ice pack is made from a silicone type material so it’s not too hard or uncomfortable.Over all, don’t waste your money on this pillow. You can’t return it. I tried. I’d probably pay $10-$15 for the quality of this pillow max. No more than that. Even then I’m sure there are better ones that actually hold air and are up front about you having to blow it up yourself.

Made Well
This was helpful in my first few weeks post partum. It didn’t do much cooling wise, but it was better to sit on than any normal surface. Will definitely be using again when another baby comes along

Worth it!
I read almost all of the reviews for this product. Ones on Amazon and other places. I love this product and wouls buy it again! Among the reviews I read, I was worried about the fact that so many said "it doesn't inflate itself" and "it doesn't stay inflated". I have not experienced this problem. When you unfold the product, you can hear it inflating itself. It does NOT inflate fully. I believe it is made to be this way. All one has to do is blow in the extra amount of air that is desired. The air nozzle is genius! With it loosened, more air can be blown in. I never really needed it fully inflated. I've even used this on LONG car trips! Helps a lot! It really doesn't take a whole lot of iar in this cushion to help take pressure off. So thankful for this product! If you're skeptical, I recommend still trying this. I'm extremely happy with it and nothing else I saw online (never bought because they didn't look right for me) came let close to how good this one is!

I wish I could like this, but I do not
I just had my second son a few days ago. I had an episiotomy -- which, if you don't know, means they cut my open down below to get the baby out. It has been a painful handful of days, and sitting is the worst. So I was so excited when I found this. I ordered it immediately and it arrived quickly.I don't feel like it self-inflates at all. In fact, if you inflate it yourself the air comes flowing right back out if you don't close the valve. But that wasn't why I wanted this, and it's small enough that blowing in to it isn't hard.I tried fully inflating, I tried deflating a little, but no matter what, the donut side was just uncomfortable. It provided minimal relief for a little while. But it pushes you to sit high off the seat you use it on, which ends up being awkward and disappointing.Today the pain was especially bad, so I was hopeful to try the ice pack side. It was too hard to be comfortable, again. It hurt the episiotomy site more than actual ice cubes did. And through the sleeve of the pillow, my clothes and the pad, there was no cold relief.Maybe this is better for new moms further in to their postpartum recovery. I'll keep trying and edit my review if I should change my mind in a month or two.

Buy it!
Like others have said it takes a little of assistance to fully inflate it, but holy cow this changed my life in under 24 hours. First time mom, 5 days postpartum. I needed six stitches and I’ve been having the worst time trying sit at all. This pillow was delivered last night and I swear today I’m feeling like 80% better. Is my downstairs still tender? Absolutely. I just birthed a whole human. But now I can sit anywhere I want with little to no extra pain. Your body will thank you!

Awesome initially, but now won't stay inflated
A few days after I gave birth, I started to experience some pretty significant pain from my stitches, and my nurse recommended I look into a donut pillow to ease the pressure on the stitches. I ended up buying two pillows--one cheap medical donut and this pillow. Initially, I much preferred this pillow--from the cover to the ice pack, it seemed to be a thoughtfully designed item that also helped me with easing the tension on the stitches from sitting. However, after using this pillow for just two weeks, it now no longer stays inflated! I have to manually inflate it before every. single. use, which is not only tedious but also HUGELY disappointing for so expensive an item as compared to other pillows. It also obviously is not practical to have to inflate the pillow when you've got an infant in your arms! What's more, I've had zero issues with the cheap donut pillow that I also purchased--it stays inflated, which really seems like the minimum you would expect from these pillows that are intended to minimize discomfort in your nether regions. However, this pillow can't even do that. I would recommend to potential purchasers that you just buy the far cheaper donut pillows available elsewhere, as it will save you money and hassle. Really bummed I spent so much money on this when I could have just bought other pillows for far less.
