EDIT 3/17/15 - It's held up admirably through a move since we had it, but I'm lowering the star rating by one. Upon closer inspection and really looking at it more than as a passing glance, it is in fact basically a sticker on MDF. The texture is passable from >3 feet away, but once you get closer, it's pretty obvious. Would I still recommend it? Absolutely. Gets the job done at a reasonable price, and I've seen very little "nicer" at anything close to this price.For the price, you really can't beat it. It hangs across the room from the picture that served as our wedding guest book. We had that professionally framed and matted due to the complexity of it's shape. That cost somewhere to the tune of $300.This little guy on the other hand... The frame and glass look every bit as good, even up close. The matting that it came with is good enough to get the job done, and it hangs with pride. Came very well packaged, was easy to put the desired poster in, and came out looking great.One little caveat is that it doesn't seem to hold paper complete flush and tight, so with time the poster slid down a bit and had to be re-positioned, this time with a little piece of double stick tape.

I purchased this frame after reading 3 glowing 5 star reviews. What each reviewer failed to mention is that this frame is nothing more than an MDF frame base with a faux distressed wood grain sticker on top. If you look at the frame, the "wood" finish is simply tape placed over the MDF. From a distance it looks great, as shown in the picture. However, up close and to the touch it look and feels cheap. This frame also has an acrylic (read: plexiglass) window, not glass...but at least this information is provided in the product description.Additionally, this frame shows a "list price" of $76.99, so you really think you're getting a bargain on a high quality frame. Not only is it not made of high quality materials, but the frame lists for $22.99 to $26.99 on the Craig Frames manufacturer website (on which you can also use a coupon code)...so not much of a bargain at all!When I contacted the seller about their false advertising, they told me, "On Amazon the list price is the suggested retail price that Amazon requires us to post." They offered to provide a refund if I shipped the frame back, however would not compensate me for return shipping. So essentially, I'd be paying roughly $10-$15 in shipping for a product that I would no longer have.The reason I gave this frame 2 stars is that the workmanship of the frame is actually quite decent and it looks nice from a distance. However, the quality of materials, advertising policies and customer service are severely lacking.

I wanted this exact frame for a canvas. This is just right. It is plastic, not glass, but I didn’t want either

This is a great product that is made in the USA! The frame is absolutely beautiful. The wood tone has so much warmth and because of the amazing packaging, all eight frames that I've ordered have been delivered without any defects. I have bought from this company over and over because they're just great!

This frame is beautiful! It looks VERY expensive and added an elegant border to a special wall hanging I made for a friend. The walnut stain is deep and satiny. It was very well packed and arrived in perfect condition. The glass was wrapped in extra wrap for added protection....and the packaging was perfect to re-mail to my friend. The wall hanging was odd sized so I was especially pleased to find the right frame in the right size for the right price. I'm a happy camper.

I bought a print of a forest and this frame is amazing looking around it. Disappointed it is a plastic sheet and not glass, but the price justifies that. The installation kit includes the essentials to hang the frame as well which is a plus.

Unlike some reviewers I knew for the price that they would not be made of real wood, so I got what I expected. Just be causes when you put the picture in the frame, hang it and you will probably never touch it again. Just the right color for the rest of my furniture.

I kept these frames just because I didn't have time to find something else before Christmas. My father is a woodworker - I should have made my own frames. These frames are pressed particle board, and have a wood-look film over them. The wood-look barely covers to the back edge of the frame, and the mitered edges are not flush, showing lines of particle board. VERY disappointed!
