I have used several temperature probes in the past including some that had remote apps that could read the probe. This is the only probe I have ever used that actually works reliably and accurately. It connected immediately with my phone and the Thermopro app. One thing that caught me by surprise is that when I was done using it, I unplugged the probes and my phone with the app on it started beeping LOUDLY because I accidentally had my phone's volume turned all the way up. App and thermometer are both easy to use. I also like that it is rechargeable.

The Meater thermometer is overpriced and lackluster. The Meater signal can't even connect to it's base though the door of the oven or the lid on my grill, making it pretty much unusable for grilling or oven roasting. Also, it's a pain to connect to my phone via bluetooth, and the range is pathetic. This Thermopro is easy to use, and surprisingly feature rich. My favorite feature of the app lets you set a range for ambient temperatures. This feature can also alert you when the temperatures go above or below the target temp. This feature helped me cook my first brisket to perfection overnight. I was able to sleep, and didn't have to worry if the fire went out or if my grill was too hot! The wired probes prevent any issues with connectivity, and the bluetooth range on the base reaches my phone from anywhere in the house. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to buy a digital thermometer! This product exceeded my expectations in every way.

I bought this to remotely monitor various meats as I smoke them. Overall it works well, but the app and connectivity leave a bit to be desired. Pros: - Probes are long enough to easily reach the middle of any meat, aside from a whole pig. - Temperature seem accurate to within a few degrees compared to 2 instant read thermometers. - Alarms are easy to set. - Numbers on the device are easy to read. - It includes 4 small plastic pieces to wind the probe cords to keep them neat. - For the price, it's hard to beat the accuracy and 4 probes. Cons: - The app and connectivity will wear down your phone battery in no time. - If connectivity is lost, even for a second, all history for that cook is also lost. - I know it's bluetooth, but the range with my Samsung S9 was limited to about 20 feet line-of-sight. - I've not been able to find a case in which to store the device and probes, so I'm using the original box (not as cool). General - The device is fairly light, so can easily be moved by the plugged-in probe cables. - Would be nice to have a magnet on the back to attach to smoker / grill.

Now, I am a perfectionist about products like this. I feel like if I put a temperature probe into boiling water at sea level, it ought to read 212.001 *at the most*. But that isn't realistic and it isn't necessary for a cooking-grade thermometer. I got 213 and 214 across probes (see picture), which is a pretty small error, which is fine. But here's the main thing that impressed me: as I was installing the app, I was kind of fuming to myself about how annoying it is that anything we want to use nowadays, we have to register with an email address and, more often than not, a cell phone number. Imagine my very pleasant surprise when I installed this app, instantly paired it to the thermometer and was DONE. Setup complete, no account required, minimum BS. FANTASTIC. I cannot praise the product and company enough for this. (I have an Android phone, BTW.) If I have a real complaint, it's that the probe ends don't snap into the receptacles cleanly and satisfyingly. They are a little difficult to push in. They work fine, I just kind of expect a higher-quality "feel" to something like that. But for the price of this probe, that is certainly not worth dinging my rating. Bluetooth, the app, the alarms and vibrations worked *perfectly*, first time. The app is easy to use, and you don't actually really need the app if all you want to do is monitor temperature from the display. You can't set an alarm without the app, though. 10/10 would buy again. I have no idea why I waited as long as I did to upgrade my broken old meat thermometer.

Let me start off by saying, before this one, I had purchased & returned 4 thermometers.... and I did research for months before deciding this one met my needs best. I grill with charcoal so ambient temp was very important to me. I decided a wired probe/ wireless thermometer was the BEST way to go, so that I can use the included grill clip to have a dedicated ambient temp probe. ...and i was NOT disappointed! *I didn't choose a truly wireless probe/wireless thermometer because even though the ambient temp is built into the back end of the probe... this only is good after the probe is in the grill... like i said, with charcoal you need to know the temp long before you put the meat in the grill Pros: The unit itself beeps and flashes when alarm is reached. You can edit the setting for meats or create custom ones. It is REALLY easy to use. the probs do not need calibrating, but came spot on temp when tested (with that said, you can not calibrate them tho) Temp readings are as quick as a "quick read" thermometer probes are long, and wires are long The light button also silences the alarm, (but doesn't silence it on your phone) the clip allows you to hang or stand up the device the Bluetooth (wireless to your phone) is great. I haven't had a problem with it (i have stucco siding). Cons: No notification settings. You can change the alarm chimes. but the notifications pop up and beep every time you change a setting. Not a problem really, but its annoying when your playing around with it On the Android app, create your own high/low doesn't work on my phone. (the regular temp setting works, but not high low. The clip on the back pops off. Could be better. I put a tiny bit of glue in the 2 holes for it to not disengage the 1, 2, 3, 4 IMO should be. left side 1, 2; Right side 3, 4. so that the "first 2" probes that you are most likely using are on the same side of the device. I also wish the numbers were centered in the window. obviously not a reason to not buy this!

Seem to do a great job on my Weber kettle , can monitor 3 different racks of ribs and the grill surface , the app is very readable and connects by bluetooth well. Not internet capable but I knew that

Love this thermometer! I powered up the device right out of the box and it was fully charged. It connected to my phone app immediately. I plugged in all four color coded probes which come in a nice independent little carrying holders so they don't get all jumbled up in your drawer. I then tested the probes against a manual probe and all four worked accurately and within 1 degree. I have used them at least 3 times so far on the pellet grill and each time, they worked flawlessly. The phone app is really nice and gives you lots of preset options as well as the ability to add new profiles for foods that might not be on the list. I highly recommend this product. TIP: make sure you set the app to allow running in the background and not be affected by battery saving modes. Range is also good, I was able to walk anywhere in my home and stay connected to the thermometer receiver. (which remained out on my deck on the smoker pellet box lid)
