Delicious, nutty, warm, toasty!
I love this tea. I've always loved Genmaicha, and the toasty notes are obviously the best part. I've tried other loose leaf Genmaichas, but I keep coming back to Ocha & Co for the balance of tea leaves and toasted rice. I find little to no bitterness when I drink it. I brew a pot of water to 170F (~76C), steep 4 grams of tea in 16 oz of water for 45 seconds. If I want something stronger, I'll brew it for 55 seconds. I just love this tea so much!!! Note that I use Ocha and Co's official website to get one bag a month, but sometimes I run out or want more and buy via Amazon if I need it quickly or before a trip.

Solid genmaicha tea
Ocha's genmaicha with matcha is a quality loose leaf tea. The leaves and brown rice seem fresh, and there's very little leaf dust and crumbs mixed in. Everything is coated with a fine dusting of matcha powder. The vacuum package it comes in is not resealable, so you'll want to have a tea tin or other container ready for storage. The ratio of rice to tea leaves is good, giving a nice well-balanced flavor. Just about all of the matcha comes out during the first brew, so if you do rebrews the subsequent batches will mostly taste like regular genmaicha. As a few of my family members don't care for the somewhat bitter taste imparted by the matcha, I've also found that I can rinse the leaves and rice before an initial brew to remove most of that flavor for them. Overall very pleased and will probably buy more tea from Ocha in the future.

The best by far!
I have tried so many brands of Genmaicha tea that I’ve lost track. I decided to try Ocha & Co. Genmai Matcha when I saw that it came from Japan. I figured they’d make the best. Well I wasn’t disappointed. This is the best tasting Genmaicha I have tried and with the dusting of Matcha included, it is spectacular! The color, the aroma, the flavor are unmatched by anything else I’ve tried. I now have it on auto ship because I don’t ever want to run out. Yes, it’s a bit pricey but if you know good Genmaicha, you’ll know it’s worth it.

If you like loose teas, this seems to be of high quality
I bought this for a cleanse...thing is I don't like green tea!!! However I know tea. 1st round , I brewed it too strong and it had an oder and unpleasant aftertaste. 2nd and beyond I was more careful with my brewing. and it was more palatable. If a green tea liker like me can drink it, its probably a good recommendation.

Create your own tea experience
You have to experiment with the water and loose tea ratio to find what tastes best for you. Then you can experiment with sweetness by using honey or sugar .

Best genmaicha I've tried so far!
I've tried many brands and this one is my favorite by far. Light yet strong flavor. It looks beautiful - has that nice green color vs others that turn yellow pretty quickly. It's worth the price in my book and I'm going to stop settling for the cheaper stuff.

The price keeps increasing
I loved this tea for its excellent flavor and quality however the price keeps increasing. The last time I bought this tea it was around $14 a bag now it is $20. I assume prices went up because of covid issues but $6 is quite a bit. I will wait until they come down or find another brand

expensive but good
It’s really good, i soak it much longer then it says to and it barely gets bitter. I wish the rice taste was a littttle stronger but i’m pretty sure this is how it’s supposed to taste. Will buy again, worth the money and cheaper in the long run then tea bag versions.
