SMITHParallel 2 Sport & Performance Sunglasses

This is for the Smith Parallel 2 Carbonic Polarized Sunglasses, Crystal Mediterranean/Polarized Blue Mirror/Ignitor version:I had to check the Smith website to confirm the actual frame color - see photo - and to find more about the lens specs. I have a fairly large head and I find that the fit is very nice, not too tight, and they stay in place, they are comfortable as well. The photo shows the the frame is a much darker blue though still transparent which I actually prefer from the brighter blue shown in the description. The lenses are quite dark (a VLT of 12%) which is perfect for the intense south eastern US sun, and the tint is pretty much neutral. The case is very useful as are the extra "Igniter" lenses - great for cloudy days, which are very easy to swap out. I snagged these at a reduce price that pops up occasionally and I would say they are an excellent pair of sunglasses, even at the list price. Highly recommended.

A friend who is a runner recommended these to me. I wanted a sport sunglass that gave me good visibility and stayed put on my head. These are wonderful, do not squeeze my head, and the frameless lenses give me superior visibility. I'm very happy with these glasses.

These parallels are much wider than the original. They slip off nose too easily with leaning over.

This is my second pair of Smith's, I also have an older version of this. Love them both. They're light, well built and they stay put pretty much no matter what.

I wear these for running, but they are also my go-to shades. They are comfortable and they look good. The only downside is that they are frameless on the bottom, so they are not comfortable to put on top of my head when I am not using them.

I have a neanderthal forehead and my helmets nearly meet my eyebrows. I need sunglasses that sit low on my face and the tops are not too high. These work great. In addition, the lens are really clear. I have used Smith glasses for years with the Moab and Voodoo models. I love the rose lens as they are high contrast and allow me to read the road surface better. Highly recommended.

The title says it all. And the price is not bad, with extra lenses readily available.

I am a fan of Smith sunglasses. They are the only brand I’ve bought for at least 20 years since I found my first pair of sliders buried in the snow. The replaceable lenses are the best part. With this particular model I am replacing my old Parallel first gen and I would have preferred the old model to take advantage of existing lenses still in pretty good shape. But they finally discontinued that model so this is the closest to the same glasses. Buyers of this color frame should be aware that the actual color is nothing like the picture that Smith provides on Amazon which comes from the Smith web site. The color is so dark that you have to hold them up to a strong light to tell that the color is really a very dark blue instead of the first impression of black. My old pair was black and I the mirrored blue lenses were the best lenses for me so I’m not terribly disappointed but the picture is misleading so beware

The polaroid lenses give a great view with good contrast and minimal distortion. You have to be careful not to pull the lenses out when cleaning as they are quite loose.

comfortable easy to wear, I buy them for my bike riding and they work awesome to protect the eyes from dangers and the bright also.
