HOW ABOUT TELLING MR HOW IT WORKS
R**W
Decent light, average brightness, plastic body and optics. Uses 3 AAA batteries.
I'm a flashlight nut. I used to teach cave and cavern diving back in my SCUBA instructor days, and hike the canyonlands at night. I learned by habit to carry multiple flashlights. This was back when giving a light a hard tap would break the filament in the bulb. With modern LED's, it's not the filament breaking - it's cheap lights that stop working, bright lights that die after 15-30 minutes and so on. When I'm exploring an abandoned building, sub-level basement or utility tunnel I carry several lights and a glow stick. When shooting night photography I carry a few as well.Unlike all my other lights, this one is plastic. That threw me for a loop. Because of that, the battery compartment threads are coarser - that's a good thing. Most of the cheap lights that are aluminum use the thinnest possible material (I swear some are just shy of Reynolds Wrap) with fine threads that have a ton of burrs.Observations: No O-rings, so it's not going to be useful in the rain. Plastic optics, so watch for scratching. Nice, large power button - one setting - on/off. Uses a more traditional old-school LED, not a CREE. Small, child-sized lanyard. Decent zoom - not going to light up a tree half a block away, but fine for most people. There's no reflector - that would probably double the brightness. It's powered by three AAA batteries, so you don't need any special batteries or chargers. It's a nice, decently bright flashlight that you can toss around and not worry about - as long as you keep it dry. I think a better price would be around $8, but I'm spoiled by super bright LED lights.Free sample provided for honest review.

Focused Or Larger Lighting...
The XFIL Adjustable Zoom Focus Handheld LED Flashlight is great because it allows me to have a very bright light when I need it, and control the beam from a large area, to focused. The flashlight will require 3 AAA batteries, not included. The light is very bright. It's easy to adjust the beam from narrow to wide just by adjusting the tip out and in. Easy on/off push button where I can press it with my thumb. lanyard allows me to keep the flashlight at hand, especially when using it in the attic or basement.Overall, excellent light and very bright.[Review Sample Provided For Review And Evaluation]

Powerful Little Plastic Flashlight
This is a very compact flashlight the produces an impressive amount of light for its size. It has a simple on and off button and you can adjust the beam of light by moving the head of the flashlight forwards and backwards. What I don't like about this flashlight is that it runs on 3 AAA batteries (not included) which makes it a bit inconvenient with most of my other flashlights use a rechargeable 18650 battery or AA batteries. While the case could be made that using that type of battery would make the size bigger it would only add about 1 inch to the length and would make it more convenient and cheaper to run.The other downside here is the light is almost completely plastic. While this doesn't take away from the features it makes me think that it won't last as long as the durable metal lights that I have.Overall for the price this is a nice little flashlight that is small enough to slip into a pocket or a purse. While I wish it ran off of different batteries I still recommend it for those that need a super-small light.Sample provided for review.

Adjustable Focus AAA Battery Powered Flashlight
This lightweight 5 inch flashlight, produces a fair amount of light, of variable focus. Pull on the lens covering, and the light moves from a tight, brighter focus, into a dimmer, more diffuse spot of light. It's powered by three AAA batteries, not included. Normally I don't comment on the price, however I have other similar flashlights, I got a Dollar General, for one dollar. (But without the variable focus feature.) The shell and outer components are plastic. The loop on the end, isn't big enough for your wrist to fit through, however I can fit two fingers into the loop. (So it can't be a wrist strap, unless used by a 2-3 year old child.) Also, I don't think this flashlight is waterproof, but could be water resistant. In other words, this flashlight might fail, if you use it in stormy weather. I would think this flashlight would be handy, in your glove compartment. Adjustable focus flashlights are the only kind I'd use, now that I've discovered them. Maybe 3 and a half stars is fair.I received this product free in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Lightweight plastic flashlight with zoom feature & lighted ring; though not the brightest or most rugged flashlight
This is a basic, lightweight, plastic flashlight of moderate build quality. The assorted colors "feature" is interesting. The colored ring around mine is red while I see a green one in the product photo. It lights up when you turn the flashlight on.The zooming ability can be very useful depending on whether you want a spotlight to go the distance or more of a flooding type light.Brightness is OK. There are definitely brighter LED flashlights out there. If you need a very bright flashlight or something very rugged and durable, or waterproof, then I would not recommend this flashlight... but if you need something for "basic" use, are OK with the plastic construction, and that is zoomable, then this would be a reasonable choice.Overall 3.5 stars and rounding up to 4.NOTE: I was sent a free product sample for review. I was not paid or told what to write.
