I bought this for my daughter to use as she sews clothes for her AG dolls. It's just the right size, and it's also a great little dress mannequin for when she wants to display some of the fun things she's made.

An exceptional tool for designing doll attire.

The manniquin body is not rock hard firm, but is solid and still displays doll clothing nicely. Will be used to help fit hand crafted doll clothes and display them for sales events. The base and top are raw wood (no finish) so I will sand and stain a dark color. The post is stable, but I will add some wood glue for more stability. I would not recommend this as a play toy for children. This will be ideal for displaying clothing in order to take images.

UPDATE: I wanted to update this review (original left intact below) because although I did receive a flawed item, this company has completely turned my disappointment around. I know things happen and there are lemons in everything. With the volume of things I purchase, it's amazing I don't get more than I have. This order was flawed, yes, but when a company cares as much as this one to make it right and offer customer satisfaction like they do, I don't mind if I get a lemon now and then. Without having gotten this form, I wouldn't have found out about this company. I'm sticking with them, and will order from them again. I thought that in fairness, anyone who reads my original review should know that this company will make it right if needed, and that changes my review and opinion quite a bit. True, the original item isn't useful, but they are very willing to make it right, and that's what counts to me. So my final review is, if I need another dress form for 18" doll clothes for a good bargain, I will order again. Thanks for reading! I purchased this form to use as a dress form for 18" doll clothes, and to use it as a model for taking photos of the completed and in-progress outfits I make. I am not able to use it for either, in the condition it was delivered to me. The shoulders are very different heights and one slopes very badly so it doesn't even look like a shoulder. The neck band was sewn wrong so it is very crooked and one side is much wider than the other, and it pulls lower on one side (and the shoulder fabric was caught in the neck band seam, making it all wonky and very badly proportioned). The form is several inches too short for an 18" doll height, from waist to floor, from shoulder to floor, and from neck to waist, it was all off. So I couldn't use it for making long skirts, pants or dresses, and couldn't use it as a model for the formal gown or pants outfits I was working on. Very disappointing! The rough, unfinished wooden "stand" was screwed in/glued in crooked, so the entire form leans. And the wood is cheap and snags fabrics a bit. So I am deciding if it's worth tearing apart and remaking it for shirts and tops. But unless I replace the stand or put it on blocks or something, the height won't work either. I'm giving it 2 stars because I hope this is an unusually flawed one. But I don't know because it's the only one I've ever ordered or seen up close. If I were to rate it for my own satisfaction, since it's useless, it would get one star. But I'm a hopeful optimist, so this is a caution for those who are looking to use it as I hoped to.

Perfect and well made for a very special project. They will hold a boy & girl miniature bereavement gown made from my 1977 wedding gown to be used when I speak to groups. I am the founder and executive director of Angel Robes Alabama, Inc. Transforming donated wedding gowns into tiny burial gowns for babies who are not able to go home with Mommy from the hospital. Not a bad little mannequin but not great either. It has a very tiny short dowel holding the base on which broke on day two. The base is slightly warped and the body isn't well stuffed. However, the price for what will basically be a toy for a little girl it's a decent buy. I redrilled both pieces and put a longer, sturdier dowel in and glued it properly. It works just fine to hold up her doll dresses or display them. The size and shape of the body is fairly close to both the Our Generation and My Life 18" dolls that my girls have.

These were definitely made well! Careful with the wooden stand. My 7 year old accidentally broke hers somehow but it wasn’t because of poor materials! Thankfully I had purchased one for me as well to help show things for my little mini designers. I can’t wait to use these for our math and art lessons in homeschool.
