Great powder n easy to use. 1st timer tips would be to add your base color, cure, add your no wipe top coat n cure but not completely dry (30secs or so). U don't need any extra gel glue for this powder or anything else. Your nails jus need to still b slightly sticky and then put the makeup qpplicator provided directly into the powder n buff it onto the nails in a circular motion til the nail is covered. If u can't get some spots to take the powder or it's not staying well the issue is with the nail being too dry. Probably cured the top coat a little too long but that's ok...u can easily fix it. My secret is to always keep simple rubbing alcohol on hand when doing nails bc it can b used to fix a number of issues. No need wasting money on supplies u don't need. Take a cotton swab n dampen it with alcohol. Apply it with a swipe to any area not taking in the powder n then just apply the powder again. U will quickly see it doesn't hurt your nail color at all n will allow u to get that powder perfectly. Use it as much as u need. Then apply your top coat n cure completely. I always do itleast a couple layers of top coat if not more bc I'm rough on my nails. So I definitely recommend more than just 1 layer, and cure each layer completely before reapplying n they should last u awhile. BAM instint BAD BITCH NAIL ALERT! :-)

This stuff is fantastic!! So much fun, and so many looks can be created with this Quality powder! Perfect over non-wipe topcoat by itself, for a lighter look, or over black for my dramatic color. I was just fooling around with some sharpies and tried them over a black base, after top coating, and applying powder, and non-wipe topcoat again. Make your sharpie design, and use some rubbing alcohol to create watercolor effect… a very little at a time to avoid flooding your design. Clean your brush when changing colors. Once you have achieved your desired result, make sure it is dry, 30 seconds to be sure, topcoat, and you are finished! My first attempt was pretty clumsy, it was late at night…. Still, such possibilities!! I found it reasonably priced for the amount received, excellent detailed application instructions( for a change!), Application was flawless, not grainy at all. Extremely pleased, and I'm already re-ordering as a gift! (As an added tip, I should have removed quite a bit more color to expose the beautiful holo Chrome underneath, you can see a bit of it on the middle fingernail. I will make another set soon to redeem myself! Practice helps! My granddaughter made the last nail, it looks like a miniature abalone up close.

This isn't as hard as some have said. I'm not a professional, I only like doing my own nails. This powder will last a really long time! Only a tiny bit is needed so not sure why one review said she needed nearly the entire pot unless her nails are 5 foot long! Pictures don't do justice. I tried using all light colors for a base color and it has a pretty effect. The colors were in the Beetles unicorn set except the thumb, it was a dusty rose color. Best recommendation is to use a nail brush to apply. Using the applicator that came with it was a bad experience, was splotchy and too silvery so base color wouldn't show. I cleaned it off and started over with a nail brush and it turned out perfect!

This is my first attempt at using holo powder for my home manicures and it is fantastic! This powder was really easy to use, came with a clear instruction sheet, and several sponge applicators. The container is small but packed with powder and I am sure it will take a long time to run out of product. Using both the applicator and my finger, I rubbed this holo powder onto a nail that I'd painted green with gel polish and it picked up on the hue beautifully. It set nicely under a top coat and looked especially lovely in sunlight. It is a pretty addition to a home kit.

The instructions are well written but it still took several tries to get the process down to a successful holo effect. Buy yourself some nail polish remover too if you're less than professional because mess this layer up you have to start completely over. Gave up using any color but black as a base.

Wow I LOVE this powder!! The first and only other time I had “hologram” nails cost me $90 for a full set a a salon (about a year ago, maybe so expensive because they were a newer thing?) And I have since been learning how to do mine at home (thank you Covid!) Now my nails look just as amazing as from the salon, and I can experiment with and create a hundred different hologram colors and even add designs. Previously I purchased another hologram powder that looked the exact same in the jar, but the result was just “meh.” THIS powder is absolutely what I wanted and hoped for, VERY easy to apply, very VERY holographic and an absolutely stunning attention getter! The color that you use under the powder will change the basic color of the shimmer effect. Just a beautiful result, and definitely worth it!

I used this holographic powder over black gel polish and it turned out just like the pictures. The included instructions were extremely helpful. The trick to getting an awesome holographic look is to cure your no-wipe top coat for 30 seconds, apply the powder while your nails are still warm from the light, buff until it's shiny, and finish with another layer of no-wipe top coat. The container is small but a tiny bit goes a very long way. I would definitely purchase this powder again.

Love the Holo powder. It looks as advertised. But very little product for the price. My jar is literally empty😡.

I like texture of the powder it's super fine. Sticks to the top coat easily. For creating holographic nail tips, prefer finger to smudge the powder. Overall good. Prize is a bit high, but worth it.
