Truegrit Robusta: Medium Roast Premium Whole Coffee Beans, Vietnamese Single Origin, Direct Trade, Low Acid with High Caffeine Content, Roasted in Brooklyn [12 oz Bag]

Nguyen is my favorite coffee. I like the darker roasts, but this still tickles my taste buds.

I spent 2 weeks in Vietnam in November 2023 and have been yearning for more good robusta since I left Saigon with 5 lbs of coffee as a souvenir. This True Grit is every bit as amazing as anything I got in Hanoi or Saigon and I don't have to fly for 23 hours to get it.All the rumours about robusta being bitter are false if you dial in your brew. This is meant to be brewed fast and strong, like through a phin setup. I ran mine through my espresso machine for a 2:1 shot over 35 seconds at 195° and it was divine. Nutty, dutch chocolate, red raspberries. Kind of like a peanut butter Oreo. I'm a fan for life!

This is old school coffee for all you Boomers and GenXers whose grandma gave you coffee before school, like myself. US Commercial coffee used to be all robusto beans, then they marketed arabica as a better bean...they left out that it was also half the caffeine......that's why you need twice as much coffee and it still doesn't do what 1 cup of Robusto does.A true medium roast, smooth flavor, dry undertones. To me, this coffee is good black, or with cream only. If you add both cream & sugar, be prepared to add a lot of sugar, 1tsp just ruins it. Try it w/o sugar, you will love it! Thank you for a great cup of coffee.

This is my 2nd bag from Nguyen and I think it'sy favorite!!!

Good crema but I feel like it’s lacking flavor and aroma. Also does not included a roast date.

The price is too much for me to keep buying it.
