Building a Survival Kit: A Folding Guide to the Key Components for Wilderness Survival (Outdoor Recreation and Survival)

I'm a fan of Dave Canterbury's teaching & approach to survival. My first intro to him was on the Discovery Channel, where he paired up with Cody Lundin. At that time, I felt that Dave knew his stuff, but didn't care for his personality on the show. I've come to the conclusion that what I didn't like was Discovery Channel's portrayal of Dave. I believe they made him out to be a super hyped up antithesis of Lundin for the show's ratings & popularity. It worked, but I don't feel was fair to Canterbury.On these waterproof pocket guides, I think they're an excellent source of knowledge & reference. Any survival kit or bugout bag wouldn't be complete without some or all of these guides. To this date, I've purchased two guides; Building A Survival Kit, as well as the Shelter, Fire & Water; both of which I highly recommend. They're filled with important tips that could help you in a situation where you're not thinking clearly. If you cannot remember something, it's easier to refer to a guide that contains relevant information for your situation. Thumbs up to Dave Canterbury & Waterford Press Inc! Good to have for review before a trip or in the field.

This is a combination of Dave Canterburys system of the 5 and 10 C's lots of videos on youtube with his system but this gives the same synopsis. Waterproofing doesn't really matter because if you have a kit you dont need the guide with you. But it does have some basic survival techniques on the manual.

Great for beginners.

Will a outstanding pamphlet a good guid, recommended.

it's pretty good. Whenever anyone puts together a survival kit - or even a medical kit or bugout bag (whatever) - it is best to have it be customized for your needs.

ich bin ein grosser Fan von Dave Canterbury und habe mir das "Faltblatt" zur Vervollständigung meiner Sammlung gekauft. Für alle, die sich mit Bushcraft, Survival oder "preppen" beschäftigen wird in dem Guide nicht viel neues zu finden sein. David Canterbury (der in DEU eigentlich nutr durch dieSerie "Survival Duo" bekannt ist, hat auf wenigen Seiten umfassende Informationen zur Zusammenstellung eines individuellen EDC/ Survival Kits niedergeschrieben. Als Ergänzung oder zum Einstieg daher perfekt geeignet. Erfahrene Bushcrafter werden nichts weltbewegend neues erfahren. Als Fan oder zum Gebrauch als Unterrichtsmaterial für Bushcraft/Survival-Klassen aber geeignet.
