Clean Water For Elirose Paperback – Unabridged, May 15, 2014

I was very excited to receive this book. The title, description, and first few pages available on Amazon seemed to center around access to clean water around the world, which is exactly what our social studies unit is about. But once I read it today when it came in the mail, I was disappointed to see how many references it makes to religious terms (God, Jesus, church, etc.) throughout the pages. It might fit in better at a religious school, but I would get in trouble if I read it to my class as part of our unit, unfortunately.

Contains religious references so could not read tobmy public school students.

This book was not advertised as religious. It can not be used in a public school setting due to its religious nature. I wish the description had mentioned the religious nature of the book.

This book prompted my daughter to have an annual "lemon-aid" sell to raise for building wells in Africa.
